Today I entered Shoppers Drug Mart at 333 Dundas St Woodstock ON and a rolling cart was parked in front of the magazines with clear out items on each shelf. In a yellow bin there were children's sunglasses and ring bracelet combination packages from carton themes such as Cars, Hello Kitty, Disney Princesses, Disney fairies Tinker Bell and one pair of Joe Fresh with no visible sale or clear out stickers. On the back of each pair I held there was a sticker that held the price of 9.99 or 8.00 for Joe Fresh, I choose four pair (Minnie Mouse, Disney Princess Cinderella x2, and Joe Fresh). I scanned each of the four with the store scanner and each was the identified price as on the original sticker with bar code!
I located an employee and asked her to help locate a sale price or was there an error and items were in placed in error. She came to the shelving unit and agreed everything on that cart was on sale or clear out, but could not locate a sticker for the sunglasses. I asked her to contact the manager and ask, and she did so in front of me. She relayed Managers response and that was that they were on sale and when they arrived at the store originally they were 15.00. She was uncomfortable and I understood she was caught in the middle. I asked the managers name and she stated Jarret or Jarred? I explained to her that the manager was wrong and that I was going to take a picture of the shelving unit and submit a complaint. Sales stickers aren't usually white with very fine black wording and don't have bar codes on the very small stickers!
I took three pictures and put the sunglasses back into the bin.
Today's experience was misleading, unprofessional and I believe the manager has lied! And left a young employee to deliver his lie!
Desired outcome: An apology and put the sunglasses and bracelet combinations on sale with a sticker
