I called in for a refile of clonidine October 23, 21, on the automated refile request by phone. Requested the pharmacy contact my doctor due to refiles running out on my medications. I went into the Shoppers drug mart on Mitton street in Sarnia November 5, 21 expecting to pick up my medication. Was told to contact my doctor they had not heard back from him. November 7, 21. I was given a prescription for on weeks worth of clonidine at Blue Water Health until I was able to obtain a new perscription from my doctor. Nov, 8, 21 I contacted Dr. Joseph spanos office was informed the pharmacy did not contact my doctor to fill this perscription request for clonidine HCL 0.1 mg. Obviously something is not right here. My concern is should your pharmacy team have offered to contact my doctor again on Friday Nov, 5, 21. when I went in to the store. Secondly this being a medication you cant stop taking abruptly. Should the pharmacy of considered my health and medication needs and provided at least a seven day supply of this medication until I was able to contact my doctor. Considering Family doctorss are not in on weekends. Rather then simply contact your doctor on a friday afternoon. This left me in a bad position. I did not have enough medication for the weekend. An felt my health was of no concern to your team. If they had offered to provide a few days worth of medication or offered to re contact my doctor out of courtesy. I would have felt they cared about my health. Im not happy at all with this particular location.. I intend to change pharmacy locations after many years of doing business at this pharmacy.
Desired outcome: waiting for a call from doctor to refil perscriptions and a pharmacy change.
