Ultra Lean Green Tea reviews and complaints
Ultra Lean Green Tea - Scam
Ultra Lean Green Tea offers a free trial online (you only pay shipping and handling). But you are then charged about $70/month for a monthly subscription that you are automatically signed up for. You can cancel this by calling the company number that appears on your credit card bill. Even when you call, they will try to coerce you into another deal to reclaim some of your lost money (a deal that actually costs you additional money). All in all, a harsh wake-up call to the dangers of buying items online and releasing you credit-card info.

green tea
I had a sample sent to me of Ultra Lean
Green tea. After the first sample I had
let them know not to send anymore. Then
I received a whole order and I called them again and told them to credit my
credit card and still they sent me another full carton and they keep charging my credit card. I am so upset
with this company. I even went on line
to where it says "Contact" them and you
can't even find where to contact them
to have something in writing. I DO NOT
WANT ANYMORE OF THIS ULTRA LEAN GREEN TEA AND I WANT MY CREDIT CARD CREDITED FOR THE TWO FULL CARTONS.
THANK YOU, HOPING TO HEAR FROM SOMEONE
IN REGARDS TO THIS MATTER.

I do not wish to receive this product anymore and I hadnt for over 5 months and then they began taking it off of my visa again and shipping again. I want this stopped but they send no contact information with the product and visa is unable to stop the payments themselves. I need help in stopping this. If anyone finds a contact number please let me know and I will do the same.
I ordered the Ultra Lean Green Tea online on June 17th, 2008. I got a phone call from the company from a woman named Jodie on July 8th, 2008. That day Jodie had explained to me I would be charged 4.95 for the s&h and I would receive my 30 day supply within 5 days, she also added that I am receiving a free gas card to help me through hard times or something. After finishing the conversation I told my dad we are getting a free 50 dollar gas card and he immediately called american express and canceled his card and told me there are many company's that call from foreign countries and charge your card under different company names you may have never heard of. I called today july 10th, 2008 and told them i wanted to cancel my order and they said that they have no card information or anything only what the information i entered online. I also asked him if their company offers this 50 dollar free gas card and he said they do not on top of that i asked him if they have any impostor company and he said none they have heard of. I hope i am not charged any money!
On Sept 11, 2008, I ordered a sample for 4.99 (US)
i told the company representative I did not want to be placed ontehauto ship. I keep receiving tea and charges are going on my credit card to the tune of $69.87 every two to three weeks. I called the credit card company. UG, they will not put an alert on the account. They want me to dispute each charge. I contend the Green tea company has not authorlity to charge on my account without my authorization.
I wil deduct the charges and pay what I owe and I will
give up my credit card as they were not help in this mess and I learned that we have no pertections from these kinds of fraud actions. Also the credit card company simply credits your card and they don't report the fraus. The write off the charges and the Green tea company get away with this. Maybe this is why so many fraud charges are being charged. If the
business simply writes them off who cares?
I am fed up with this kind of business. It seems the Attorney Generals office woud put a stop to this kind of business practices. Also the credit card company shoudl have a clause in thier contract that says we as a customer can call them to put a watch on our card with companies who continue to make charges unauthorized. This is not healthy for Americans to endure. It is frustrating to say the least and it seems like we are allowing the internet, the government and the enrons of the world to take over our rights.
SOMEONE DO SOMETHING TO STOP THIS!

I ordered a sample pack of a green tea drink. I was not told that I had to purchase anymore if I didn' want to. I have had 2 charges on my visa bill and haven't received any more tea ( which I do not want anyway) I do not wish to receive any tea and would like the charges taken of my bill immediatly or I will take further action. Terry
I answered an e-mail advertisement for a 30 day free sample of this tea. I paid $5.30 for shipping. On July 11, 2008 this company charged my debit card and additional $75.04. I did not authorize this and I did not purchase anything. I have tried to locate this company to get my debit card credited $75.04. I called my bank to dispute this charge. Nothing is working. The bank says I have to give them 30 days to credit me, I have a non existent e-mail and phone number.
I was not smart enough to read all the fine print well enough, I normally do not get caught up in the internet garbage but at the time I read it I was feeling really fat and it sounded so good as a help to loose. I never realized there was a web sight for complaints, I am also new with the computer and sucked in. I never realized the extra $$$ until I looked at my statement for my credit card. I at first was pissed but after reading a lot of the complaints and comments from a lot of you I feel stupid and hopefully I can cancel, it's my fault. The price is a little step. I will not do it again. Thank you.
How do I stop them from charging my credit card and sending me tea? I have sent back ALL the tea unopened and have called and left 4 messages. How do I cancel and get my money back?
I thought this ad was a little sketchy so I went and purchased a pre loaded credit card for one amount. This way they can only take the one amount before I get my shipment. I was wondering if the tea actully did anything for you? did it make you loose any weight?
thanks in advance,
Ashley

rip off - statement not on site when purchased
This company is a rip off and I am gathering the information to expose them here in GA. I have had the same issue as everyone else except the fact that this statement was not posted on their site when I ordered the product back in August and in addition they are claiming that I have received more shipments than I actually have. Please go to Clark Howard.com and write him an email about this situation. In addition please file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. As I find other ways of exposing this company I will let you know.

Don't ever buy it
Don't ever buy this product. IT DOES NOT WORK at all, and not only that, but they say is only going to cost you $5.95 for shipping anhandlying, which is a lay. They will charyou almos $70.00 for the product and they will send you a second order after 14 days for another $70.00 dolars. And when you try to return it they are going to ask you if you want to have fo half of the price. Don't do it, send it back and get your money or you will sig up automatically again.

This company is a rip off and borders on fraud. They not only get you to sign up for a free trial that really costs you almost $80.00, but they continue to bill your credit card until you threaten them with police action or consumer board action. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! beside that it doesn`t work.
Peggy
I rarely watch my visa statement, I was socked to see that this was going thru on my visa, Yes free trial is what I signed up for...Not a $70 debit every 2 weeks. The product taste like crap and doesn't work. Keep posting emails so the word gets around.
Heather
This is a huge scam! Do not order this product... About a month or two ago, i was online looking up workouts and meal plans to lose a little extra weight... I found myself at the ultra lean green tea website... The website states free ultra lean green tea 2 week trial! What you don't see is that they have already highlighted that you want a subscription to another product which is $35, i didn't realize until after i had ordered my "free trial" that shipping and handling is $5, and they had already charged my account the extra $35 for something i had no desire for... Needless to say, i felt decieved and i went ahead and called later that day to cancel my entire account... Well, they didn't tell me it was going to take twelve business days to get refunded... So i had to contact them once again to find out the status... Only after investigation did i find out that it was going to take longer... I waited and waited, finally after 2 weeks i called back to see what was going on, they then told me that i had some "refund error" and unless you call, they don't notify you about this, so the woman i spoke to told me that she couldn't interpret the message she saw on my account so she was going to hand it over to her supervisor and have her give me a call back, once again... I never received a phone call... (Every single time i called i was put on hold for at least 30 minutes), i almost completely forgot about it until today when i checked my account, they had reimbursed me for $5 in shipping and handling and that was all... I called back again, only to find out that nothing had been done, nobody notified a supervisor, and it was going to take another 12 business days...When i asked to speak to a supervisor, i was told that she was extremely busy taking care of "warehouse problems" and that there was no guarantee that she would "find time" to call me back...So now, i sit... And wait...And hope that i get my money back sometime this year!
I am so thankful for this complaint board that I wanted to add my personal experience. Thanks to all of you whom warned everyone else of possible charges, I was able to act quickly. I had already ordered my trial membership before I decided to look into this product more. I found this complaint board and immediately cancelled my credit card, wrote a letter and called them as well. Thanks to this board, I believe they are making greater efforts to improve customer service. I ordered on a Friday and called to cancel on that next Monday (thx to the complaint board). It took a total of just three minutes to answer my call (called at 12:30 on my lunch break) and the customer rep. (Aaron) helped me right away with no questions asked. I wouldn't have been able to do so without the phone number and mailing address found here.
I ordered Ultra Green Tea's free tiral & paid shipping charge to my credit card.I received my product very late past the 14 day trial period in which you have to try the product & cancel if you do not like it.I there after called to cancel any further charges to my account & was given a confirmation number to confirm. The company then 1 week later used my credit card & charged another $69 to my account.I have not received any further product.Nor should they be accessing my credit card for charges.
I have left a message for my account to be resolved?
This is very deceiving & I will never use my credit card online in the future due to this horrible experience. They should be reported.
Christina Simeonoff ( Which by the way is a single Mom & can not afford people ripping me off in the first place!)
Thank-you
I was charged 68$ for Green tea that was supposed to be free...I don't want anymore of that Green tea, and I don't want anymore payments to be taken of of my account. I am gonna block any payments of your company and never gonna purchase anything from you ever again. I am gonna pass the word around...
I ordered the green tea, because they wrote on their website, 14 day free trial for $6.95. They were to send me the product 2-3 business days. I received the tea 3 weeks later, so by then they had charged my credit card $6.95 plus $69.87. I called to complain but they said it was too late, that if I wanted to cancel I had to cancel during the 14 day trial. Which I tried to explain to them, that I only received the tea after the 14 day trial! Then they said that my next shipment for $69.87 was on its way, which I never consented. THey said that it was automatic, they deduct $69.87 from my credit card every month! On their website it doesn't state that they will send it to me automatic, without consent. What do I do?
I "RUSH" ordered the 14 day trial of the ultra lean green tea and weeks later have still not received it. Now I have been told it can take 4-6 weeks for delivery as it could get held up at the border coming into Canada. There is a spot on the order form that you have to "unclick" otherwise you are ordering a bottle of pills as well. I phoned immediately after making the mistake and have been told every day since (over two weeks) that they will be crediting my VISA. Each day I phone they say there is a problem and it will be yet another 5 business days before anything will happen. This company is ripping people off, DO NOT order!
For all of you who have been sucked into the underhanded, dirty business dealings of false advertisement and a sea of itty bitty writing that constitutes ULTRA LEAN GREEN, I feel your pain.
I too have gotten overly excited over a "Risk Free 30 Day Trial +s&h".
But here's the deal, DO NOT send the bottle back marked "Return to Sender" and just throw it in your mailbox thinking that they will get it. Oh, sure, they will get it, but you will never know that. Then you will get charged for nothing, and they will have their product returned to them, but deny it ever made it there.
Now, I take full responsibility for my dive into an offer that looked too good to be true, and not reading the fine print. However, just because I f**ked up the first time doesn't mean I should continue to get scammed by a company that just wants my money without any regard to the customer.
Why wouldn't they send you any information/paperwork about the specifics with the initial product? Why no paperwork? Why so frign underhanded?
This company prey's on the foolish to rape you over and over again until you are forced to cancel your bank/credit card account. They claim to cancel your order, but oops, it didn't happen and guess what, your stuck paying another $69.87 for a crappy product. A product you just wanted to try, not get married to.
They claim that "sure, we'll give you your money back, just throw it in the mail without a tracking number, we'll credit you!" Then you ask, "why am I still being charged, I sent it back" ULTRA LEAN says "sorry, we never got it!"
I truly believe that anyone on these complaint forums that is sticking up for the company is infact a representitive of the company. Who the hell is okay with paying that much money for a tea supplement that taste's like [censored] and doesn't work?
If you are as outraged as I am, google the Better Business Bureau of Utah. There is a link in the middle of the page to report companies such as this. This is BAD BUSINESS and it needs to be stopped! Tell everyone and anyone on myspace/especially facebook what the deal is.
Bottom line: This company needs to practice responsible business practice. From the advertising right down to the return of the product.
I ordered the free trial.. then in 10 min I decided I was being dumb so I called to cancel... They said I had to wait a hour.. So I called in a hour cancelled and got the cancellation code and informed I do not have to worry about any charges or informing my credit card company... They did say I would be charged 5$ for shipping and handling, I disputed and said no as I dont want anything shipped and order is cancelled. So they said ok.. They were very nice about it..
That night I get a call confirming my order.. I am like no I cancelled it and he was like oh yea ok..
Next thing I know I recive a package from them.. I shipped it back unopen. I also see they charged me for the product and shipping 2 days after I had cancelled.. I have made a complaint with the BBB and also have it disputed with my credit card provider.. As the Green tea company promised to reimburse the charges with in 5 days as I had called them .. they still 30 days later have not done that..And I now have to go through my credit card company.. The seem to hear this story alot with this company.. Do not purchase anything like this..
On August 28th I placed a trail order for a sample of tea; my understanding was I could cancel if I didn't like it or they would continue to charge my account. I have not received any product and was shocked to see the $6.95 plus another charge for $37.50 for Power Tea which I clearly did not order. When I called to complain I was told the problem was with Customs and that a second order would also be on its way and charged. I managed to get a supervisor to agree to reversing all charges but we will see. Meanwhile this company has to be stopped. It was only after I was referred to a supervisor that I was able to get agreement for a refund and I don't think everyone who has a problem would push so hard.
I too decided to try the "Free trial" of Ultra Lean Green Tea. I received my tea. I never saw any statement regarding cancelling within 14 days, etc. although the company stated there was when I did call them. Today I received my 2nd shipment of the tea. There is no phone number to call on the package so I did find website on the internet and found so many complaints about this company! I called the number that was posted and supposedly they have cancelled my order. I did get a cancellation number and the name and I.D.# of whomever I talked to. I did state that if there were any more charges to my credit card after this last shipment I would not be responsible for them. She stated she closed my account and assured me there would be no more charges. We'll wait and see. I am notifying my credit card company today not to accept any charges from this company again!
