High Pressure Sales/ Customer Statisfaction
Dixie Home Crafters went out of business on Friday 9/14/2012 leaving thousands of customers without access to matienence or warrenty of the products they have purchased for thousands of dollars. When the customer calls the company for any questions the company will say they have no knowledge of products or the company (dixie home crafters)
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
ignor you after high pressure sale
High pressure sales. Do not do everything in their own contract. Ignor repeated attemps to contact them. I had a terrible and expensive experience with Dixie Home Crafters. Do yourself a favor and do not let them in your house. Ever.
Do yourself a favor. Do not let them in your house. If you do, they will be there a minimum of four hours. You will sign anything just to get rid of them. They ignor you after the sale. They did not do everything in their own contract. Now they have ignored my efforts to contact them. It's been a terrible experience, and an expensive mistake. Don't be thier next victum.

Ineffective Guuter Guard Gutters
I purchased fascia and Gutterguard product gutters for my house in 2005 to replace a fascia that had rotted. The gutters were installed quickly, but I was encouraged to approve their installation quickly as well. Soon after the installation (less than a month), I noticed a piece of vinyl was missing between the gutter and the gable of the house. I called them and instead of them reinstalling a correct piece of vinyl, they installed a metal tab into my roof (with holes in the roof) that caused water to pool at the base of my roof behind the gutter. I next noticed that most of the water when it rains runs right off the roof onto the sidewalk below, near the foundation. The gutters provide little if any water channeling away from the foundation.
Three years later, water stains began to form in the ceilings of my house near where the gutters are installed. I have spent $400 to fix the roof, but the leaks continue.
My experience with their customer service has been less than helpful. Their maintenance person says he can't rather than what he can do at every request.

Why did you wait 3 years to find out about your stain? why don't you call them then to fix it? I don't think a company who knows more than any other company about roofing, will put nails in your roof. It does not make sense.

Bent End Caps On Gutters
It was Election Day. And my roofer wanted to start the next day. I called Dixie Home Crafters to remove the gutters from my home as I had product installed by them several years ago. I left work early and attained the money they needed. That is half of 1024.00 dollars to remove gutters. Well they did come out. And took only the gutter covers off. When I pulled up to the front of my property the installer greeted me with where is my money.
It's election day, so I paid the installer the 512.00 dollars as agreed. Later that evening I noticed that the End Caps were bent. So I called Dixie Homecrafter and they sent a man out to look at the bent end caps and assured me that the same person would not come out for the Re-Installation of these end caps.
This installer put the end covers back on and then bent the end caps back inplace.
Sence I am standing their, I comment, are you going to replace the Bent End Caps.
The Installer replied that I must be a perfectionist and continued his job.
When finished I did pay the net total of the bill 512.00 for the total of 1024.00 Dollars.
I do like their product as It does work fairly well. But I would never refer these people if asked. But only to an enemy.
They have a good gutter product, but their salespeople use high pressure sale tactics and their installers have quotas that encourage fast and shoddy work. If you don't watch over them, they will do the absolute minimum. They installed new gutters over rotten fascia boards on my house. Contracts include 10 feet of fascia repair, but they will not do it if you are not there to make them.

I had purchased 10 Windows @ $1000.00 a window with a 50 year warranty, the front window lost the gas in it and now you can't see out of it I had been trying to get someone out to fix it since 2011 I lost my husband in 2009 thank god he didn't live to see this he is probably turn over in his grave right now. So much for honest businesses and long term warranties.
This company supplied dysfunctional product, when called to fix them, they did not fix properly
which court are they filing bankruptcy in? The window may still be open to get in a claim.
Anyone know where we can replacement screens? Are any lawyers involved? I'd like to hire one. This is awful, no warranty anymore nor someone to do repairs on the windows they installed. So much for life time warranties.
they used gorrell windows if anyone is having a problem with them.
i use to work for the company as a canvaser i never thought that thay did not handle there business properly, i was lying to hundreds of home owners and didnt even know it sorry customers.
I've been trying to set an appointment with them to clean my gutters since September 3, 2012. They kept returning my call when I was not available. Once we finally did connect, they said they would have a rep call me to set a day and time. The rep never called. I kept call them and left messages and no one would ever call me back. Now I understand why. Shame on Dixie Home Crafters! It is people like you that give a bad reputation to the honest people in your industry! How do you sleep at night?
