Dermitage unauthorized bank drafts/no product received

Don't order Dermitage, even if it is advertised as a free trial! I ordered as a free trial when I was traveling and had shipped to the address I was at when I ordered. I guess I did not read the fine print! SO, I received my free offer, just paid for shipping. Then I moved to a different location. I am not good about watching my bank account and did not notice they were deducting $200 a month for product that was being shipped. I never received any products past my first shipment so I did not have a reason to believe they were charging for further products. I called the number on my bank statement and the only explanation I received is I should have read the fine print. If I did not contact them to cancel then the product continues and would be charged. They also did not care that I have not received any product since the first shipment, stating they shipped to the address provided and I did not change the address. I also did not see anywhere in the advertising where I was to authorize automatic drafts from my account. They have deducted June, July, August and September from my account and I did not receive any product. If I had received the product in June, I would have contacted them, returned the product and asked for a refund. My account is under Jami Rosamond and I have now cancelled my account. They deducted a total of $198.49 each month from my account. I want a full refund for not authorizing an automatic draft on my account. On top of this, you can get the same products on Amazon for less than $30.00! THIS IS A SCAM

Dermitage ###

Please email me about this Dermitage scam now! Wow! After reading the other posts here it's very clear to me that Dermitage is a criminal enterprise and nothing less. Yep, I signed up for their free sample and then they started sending me packages and billing me amounts like $114 for things I never ordered. I'm now going to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Feds about mail fraud and I suggest that all of us who have been similarly scammed begin to collect information on each other and send each other emails so that we can collectively go after these ###.

I paid to have a FREE 30 day trial sent to me and I did not like the product and when I called to cancel they informed me I would have to pay to send the product back. What a scam! The product did not do anything it claimed to do either.

These people are complete frauds! Like a lot of other folks on this site, I ordered the "free samples" -- and have been sent $105.99 worth of JUNK (probably worth $2.00) TWICE.
They've billed my credit card, AND I have to pay to send the junk BACK!

Let the Buyer beware!

Company offers a free trial which is really not free. They give you the runaround to cancel. They make you return the "FREE TRIAL" which is really an empty container. Highly recommend staying away from any of their offers. The product is marginal at best.

I was charge $99.95 on April 20, 2010 and charge again on May 19, 2010 for the amount of $105.90. I haven't order anything from Dermitage but for the free trial size only. I would like to have a refund back on my money.

Thankyou,

Dermitage Rip-off scam attempt

I just received one of these today in the mail. Needless to say I did not order this stuff. I called the company -. They did their very best to be unhelpful. I was told my order would be cancelled, but I decided not to trust them at all, and I went ahead and cancelled the credit card that was "used" in the transaction. I called my bank, cancelled the card, and ordered a new card. This is bs, fraudulent and illegal activity. It's too bad we, as consumers have to be so hypervigilant regarding our credit cards, but it makes a good case for paying bills online as you can check your credit card activity constantly and monitor it.

Dermitage Miss-leading

Was asked to answer a few questions, and I would recieve a free gift. I answered, and I was able to pick out a Free gift. ( but had to pay S&H) . I just happen to check my bank account, and found almost. $90.00 Was taken out of my account. I called the company and they said I agree to it. They are nuts I did not, I was told by the company I had recieved an E-mail to the effect. I told them NO I did not. they then were will to only charge me 1/2 price. I told her NO I was not paying for something I did not order, Their FREE gift is a big Crock of ------.

Dermitage Misleading ad

The free trial where I just pay shipping ended up costing $99.95! On top of the S&H from the original order. They will automatically place you into a program where they automatically ship more product each month at another $99.95 and they don't tell you this up front. I wouldn't have done it to begin with if I had known that. BEWARE! This is really misleading. Product doesn't seem to make any difference - I'll go back to Estee Lauder for half that price. Dermitage "Free Trial" not so free. Now waiting to see if they cancel my account like they promised...why do I think there will be another surprise?..

Dermitage Fraudulent company

I fell for the dermitage ad about paying $7.00 S&H for a sample product. (Or as it turned out.. a sample trial period of THE product.) Supposedly, order the product and you have a trial period of 14 days. The catch: They send the actual product and YOU have a total of 14 days to send it back to them or they charge $90 to your account! AND you have to CONTACT THEM FIRST to get a send back number before you can return the product! Good luck with that! I'd tried to contact them via telephone, as their blurb said. NO answer or busy. (And telephone was THE ONLY WAY they could be contacted.) When I saw they had charged $90 for their 2 oz skin lotion to my Discover card, I again attempted to contact them. When I finally contacted the nasty "customer service" broad, she had a "pat answer obviously written down". "You had the product well over 14 days; "everyone else" has been able to contact us; TOUGH LUCK, SUCKER!" (Okay.. maybe she didn't say that last part out loud..) Discover card did their version of an investigation. Basically.. I got totally screwed! I looked up some legal info and the "statement" dermitage uses in their "agreement" uses "uncommon language" and "uncommon practices" not normally used and, therefor, unexpected types of terms and conditions. (I had forwarded the exact info to Discover and they have deleted all correspondence.) I also wrote up a report for /link removed/ AND I contacted the official federal site dealing with fraudulent web sites and I reported dermitage. Of course, it's in limbo.

Dermitage SCAM

I ANSWERED A SURVEY THAT STATED I WOULD RECIEVE A FREE PRODUCT FOR ANSWERING THE SURVEY. ALL I NEEDED TO DO WAS PAY SHIPPING CHARGES OF $3.95 WITH MY CREDIT CARD, WHICH I DID. WHEN THE PACKAGE CAME AN ENCLOSED LETTER STATED IT WAS A FREE TRIAL AND I WOULD BE CHARGED $89.95 ON MY CARD AFTER THE 2 WEEK TRIAL. I DID CALL AND TOLD THEM I WOULD BE SENDING PRODUCT BACK. IT COST ME $3.95 PLUS THE RETURN SHIPPING CHARGE OF ALMOST 6 DOLLARS. THE LETTER ALSO STATED THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT ANY PACKAGE THAT SAYS RETURN TO SENDER. I CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT TO RECIEVE ANOTHER PACKAGE AND DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO PAY $89.95. I AM REALLY UPSET ABOUT ALL OF THIS. JUDY P

I also am a victim of Dermitage. I fell for the Internet offer of 30 day trial completely free, just pay shipping and handling of $7.95. No obligation necessary. 30 days later they took $100 out of my checking account. When we called to see why they did this, they stated, 'That was for what we sent you, since you didn't send it back that means you want us to take out $100 every six months for your product.'

First of all, this was a trial size. There is absolutely no way what they sent would last 6 months. You have to use both the products they sent twice a day, which lasted almost 1 month. What happened to the other 5 months?

Stressing over this $100 has caused more wrinkles than any product they could ever send me.

Dermitage is a horrible company! They use false and misleading advertising to steal money from consumers.

They are unethical liars. Do not fall for their promotion, once they have your credit card number they will charge it without your consent.

This is plain robbery. The contact information is useless. It is impossible to contact them if you have any questions or complaints. They are fake, cons, scam artists.

I wish I had seen this list of complaints about Dermitage. I never would have ordered the "FREE" trial. The product arrived with an invoice for $89.95! I called and cancelled and they gave me the cancellaton RMA#408695. I was assured I would not be charged if I sent the product back. I returned it. My credit card company called and alerted ME to a possibly fraudulent charge. I called Dermitage again, and was again told I had not, and would not, be charged. Today my credit card bill arrived with, you guessed it, a charge of $90.43. I have disputed the charge with the credit card fraud department and will not pay it. This company is fraudulent and should be avoided by all.

The offer said a 14 day free trial

of Dermitage for $3.97. When I received the product, I learned that I would be charged $89.95 and would be sent another supply every 30 days as I was now a member Dermitage Elite. Needless to say I am returning the product and hopefully it will be "no commitment, no hassles" as they say in their ad. They need to review their method of getting new customers. I am embarrassed that I fell for his scam and hope that I have learned my lesson. I plan to make future purchases through my dermatologist.

Eye products DON'T run out in 1 month! Who purchases it monthly? I'm an esthetician of 17 years and my clients DO NOT need to purchase ANY of their skin care products EVERY MONTH! So Dermitage charged me for a SECOND

duo of the eye product and I'm not even half way through the first. THIS IS JUST WRONG. They would not reverse the charges. I will never deal with Dermitage again or recommend them to anyone else...EVER! THIS IS ONE SURE WAY TO PERMANENTLY LOOSE A GOOD CUSTOMER & REFERRAL. IT IS A REAL SCAM I TELL YOU!

This is the first time I am posting a complaint. While surfing the web, I recently 'fell' for a pop-up add for a trial offer for 'anti-wrinkle' cream from Dermitage.' Not only does this product not work but now I see a $99.95 bill on my credit card statement NOT the $5.95 charge as stated. I read the 'small print' but failed to see anything about a monthly charge. I need to know how to cancel this...please help! I never fall for these scams and cannot afford to pay. Thank you for any direction you can give me.

I was offered a free trial of this product for $6, I received the product & saw the fine print to return within 14 days or be charged the reduced rate of $89.95. What a joke! I returned it & was still billed 2 months in a row. When I called to complain the rep was one of the most ignorant people I've ever had to talk to. My mom made the mistake of doing the same thing without reading the "Fine print". She was billed & very unhappy with the product. This product has done NOTHING it promises to do, it's all a scam to get your money! I don't how this company is still operating, it's ridiculous!

I ordered the free trial recieving it Oct 10. After reading the form sent with free trial, I decided to return their product immediately. There was no return address on the form only a telephone number for customer care [protected] ). called this number 6 times to get a return ship address and got no answer. I went on the internet and found their mailing addressDermitage Customer Care5300 Ontario Mills Pkwy Unit 400
Ontario, CA 91764 and mail their product on Oct 12th.

Checking my Bank account today Oct 30th I found a charge to my account of $88.95. Calling the customer care number is a waste of time, they will not answer. I will be going to my bank Monday, hoping they can help. I am taking a copy of all these complants with me to validate this scam.

Dermitage Deceptive scam

Dermitage Advanced Skin Renewal Scam

On Yahoo (in January 2010) there was an offer to try Demitage Advanced Skin Renewal products FREE - the only payment was $5.95 shipping and handling for the sample.

I placed an order for the free samples -- like thousands of other people. I am not an ignorant consumer looking for a deal that is too good to be true -- this seemed like a reasonable way for a cosmetics company to get consumers to try their product.

Luckily I just noticed at the bottom of the packing slip (just as I was about to throw it away) that in fact I would be charged $99.95 for these samples if I did not return them within 14 days. Not only that, but they would ship me $99.95 worth of product every 30 days if I did not take action.

The conditions of the FREE trial were nowhere obvious in the offer. I have just been told by the "robotic" customer service rep that it is in 12 point type on the screen where you put in your credit card number.

I just did a search to see if others had a problem with Dermitage -- and found out this scam has been going on for at least several years -- follow this link to read complaints from those of us who have taken our time to write -- http://www.complaintsboard.com/bycompany/dermitage-a19724/bydate.html

This is clearly deceptive advertising. It is likely that there are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who have been caught in this scam and been forced to pay for something they didn't want, and possibly couldn't afford, simply to save their credit score.

Who are the organizations that have authority over this kind of a scam? They should be informed -- and if they in fact have any real "purpose", they should take action.

This is a classic bait and switch case. They advertise a free sample, then send a small bottle but include information that in a certain time you must cancel and/or return the product. I am going to see the postmaster as soon as possible. Being a disabled person, this is a strain, but this is illegal and I hate to see others get hit with this.

Dermitage Do not sign up for free trial

While ordering a free trial for $5.95 of Dermatage products online, in the hiddenfine print is that you are signing up for a monthly membership of $99.95 for more products. They also said they sent me an e-mail confirming this. I did not get one. They say in the hidden fine print to call w/in 14 to cancel membership...but the fine print is hidden so watch out.

Deceiving website! I'm stuck with the $99.95 for the month. But will be disputing it with my bank.

Dermitage Doesn't stay behind their products

When I ordered the trial of their facial system, I also purchased eye serum and dark circle cream they suggested at a reasonable price. The whole website touted the FREE trial of the facial and 30 day money back guarantee of their products. After trying for 7 days my face is all red and bumpy. I called to get a return authorization and they will not accept the eye serum or dark circle cream nor will they refund my money as their advertising suggests. So, I paid just to have my face look much wors than it ever did before.

I am so upset with this company. I wished I would have done research before I clicked on "Free Trial" and received this product. Their marketing company/department should be fired, but I'm guessing as long as they continue to count the bucks they are bringing in using this method that they will never change. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AGREE TO THIS SCHEME. I hope that the BBB is able to take them down. I totally agree that it is a rip off. They indicate that you will receive a sample free, just for the price of the postage and handling. Then the product arrives full size, and an expectation that I will have to pay for the products after 14 days and then they will continue to send the products monthly. TOTAL FRAUD. I intend to make many posts of this all over the internet and any media I can get to. BBBs in So. Cal will be informed as well.

I stopped the payment on my credit card and sent the product back with the RMA number. This month I got another chare for $99.00 after they told me they would drop this so called membership. I have also blocked this payment with my card company. No where did I see I was signing up for a membership. This to me is false advertising. I have learned my lesson!

Dermitage Online fraud

I sent my debit info to Dermitage for a free pre-trial sample of their product. Later, I noticed that I had been charged twice for the $4.99 shipping charge. I called and canceled the order and asked for a refund for the double shipping charge. I did receive the refund. So I never thought twice that the package would arrive. Now my debit card has been charged for 99.99! After 1 hour and 10 minutes on the phone, Dermitage states that the $99.00 charge is for the full price of the free trial. What part of free is this? Further, I did not receive the pre-trial package so now I have to dispute this with UPS who state the package was left at the porch of my house. Do you know how many vendors come during the day with promotional fliers, cosmetics etc...

I am now having to fight UPS to get my $99.00 for the free trial! since Dermitage wants the pre-trial package back. Screwed by dermitage in Texas!

Dermitage FRAUD

Sent away for free trial. Skin had a reaction so I followed their instructions and called for an RMA # for return. They sent me a shipping label via email that included the number. I returned the package. After 4 weeks they went ahead and charged me the $89.95 for the product. I contacted customer service and they state they have not received the return and so can't refund my money. I am extremely angry. I will be calling them back and requesting that they remove me completely from their mailing and shipment list. I better not received anymore products from them.

I am from Canada and recently ordered the free trial order as well and shipped it down to the USA where I will be in 1 month. Once they had my visa number and went on to t he next page is where I was let known that I would be charged for the free product, about the 14 day trial and then they would send out a creme for approx 100.00 to be charged to my visa. I tried to call the company immediately and they are now telling me that the number doesn't reach my servicing area. I have sent several emails and no reply. This is really making me wild! Someone needs to shut this scam and company down. It's false advertising and believe me if I lived in the US, I would be doing something legal about this even if it does cost $$. It's the whole principle behind all of our situations.

I ordered their free trial. I never received the product and was charged $99.00 out of my account, and received an overdraft fee on top of that. I called them. They said that since I didn't call during the 14-day trial period there wasn't anything they could do. I told them that during that time I was in the hospital and diagnosed with a brain aneurysm--who would be thinking about products? They still wouldn't return the full amount. They said they could refund $30.00 and would send me product so I'd feel like I had something I paid for. It wasn't what I wanted, of course I just want my money back. I'm more concerned about my health than product. Sounds like fraud to me. My bank has an excellant fraud department. After reading all these complaints, I feel like sueing.

I submitted a complaint but I don't know what happened to it. I ordered their 14-day trial period and never received. I was charged $99.00 from my account. I called them to tell them I never received the product and that there was nothing they could do about it since I didn't call them during the trial period. I told them that I was in the hospital during that time and diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. Who would be thinking about products during a time like this. They still said they couldn't refund my money, but they would return $30.00. And send me product so I would feel like I had something that I paid for. My bank has an excellant fraud department. However, after reading all of these complaints, I feel like sueing!

i accepted a free trail of Dermitage products that was stated no obligation. Dermitage has now billed my account for $89.95 that i did NOT authorize. I have to cancel my Debit card in order to stop this monthly charge.
I have returned this product unused and will never again try anything from this company.

I too have been charged on my credit card and when I tried to call Dermitage's Customer Service it's not in service-so I can't get my money and I didn't get the product either. RIP OFF

Ordered on line based on their offer to send a sample for a trial for the cost of shipping and handling. Did not send a sample, but a full size product to try and return within 14days OR my credit card would be billed for $87+ Incredible SCAM. Called the company, and complained. Presumably they are going to send me a code number to attach to my return package, that authorizes the return! I haven't seen it. I am returning the product today. I have called my credit card company and they have placed a BLOCK on this merchant, so that they can never charge my account for the next four years. I suggest the best is to dispute this SCAM with your credit card company. I also filed a complaint with the BBB in San Francisco where this company is headquartered, and I will also file a complaint with the DA's office in San Francisco this week.

I just read your comment after looking at one of their ads. I too was scammed by a similar company & will NEVER order again without a LOT of positive feedback and from reputable suppliers. I was fortunate, but I hope you contacted your credit card & disputed the charge, because they will remove it.

Dermitage False Advertising and Credit Card Fraud

Dermitage false advertisement claims to offer a free trial of several products for $5.95 S/H. Once you give them your credit card info you start being billed a monthly fee of 89.95 and continue to receive the same "Free" trial kit. Trying to contact customer service is a waste of time and phone calls as lines are either busy or so called customer service reps hang up. Company under investigation by FTC and local Police Department avoid the rip off and problems for this snake Oil SCAM Company.

I also fell for their line about a free trial. When I called them I told them that to cancel my order and not to send me anything. They offered me a discount of 39.95. so I accepted, but stressed no more orders. They sent me a email noting the cancelation and no further orders. I have tried the product and I saw no results. Their claims are false. This morning I called them and told them I wanted to send their product back and a refund to my credit card. After a long conversation where the lady said they did not give refunds, I asked for her supervisor. At that point she told me she could refund half the price. That was better than nothing so I said yes. She sent me a email confirming this. Also I don't have to return the product. If they don't follow through with my refund or send me anything else and charge my credit card I am prepared to contact the state attorney general or whoever I have to and complain of fraud and false advertising.

I just reported to my credit card Dermitage's charges on my account. I had ordered their free trial in May and authorized the payment of $5.95 as advertised. I went on extended travel outside my domicile June till August, and discovered in August that I had been regularly billed since June $75+ for products I neither ordered nor receive, not to mention $69+ for the May free trial product.

I live in Saipan, a US territory, and Dermitage's 800 number is not accessible from my area, nor do they have an email address I can contact, nor snail mail address I can send my correspondence to.

My credit card company can only dispute billings within 60 days. This means that charges in May and June may not be retrieved unless I seek legal redress through the courts. Duh! I guess I am eating crow for a while!

Dermitage Unauthorized charges & restocking fees

I've never had to raise my voice at a customer service rep until today. I spoke with Rashad at Dermitage's Customer NO-service twice (lucky me). First to return a product a few days ago that I had received without authorization. And then again just a few minutes ago to return product box #2 that I had not authorized. After repeated attempts to get to speak to his supervisor, he put me on hold, apparently in an attempt to cool me down, and came back to tell me that his "supervisor" Christina #12794 had authorized the return of my product with a $9.95 restocking fee. Arguing proved futile as I will now also have to pay a $19.95 restocking fee because I opened the first package to see if there was a number or invoice...my bad! What was I thinking...oh yes, I didn't read the fine print of the Dermitage policy that many of you are referring to that's hidden on the website. I'm contacting my credit card company and stopping any further transactions from any of the pseudo-names Dermitage tries to hide under. Never again will I order something touted as "free" on the web. Should have done my research first! Caveat emptor...hopefully others will read our warnings and take heed!

I also fell into the so called 1 month "free trial". When I received the "free" product with a letter I realized this was a scam. I especially liked the terms of returning the product, talking about an 8.5% sales tax and restocking fee. I crossed this section out and wrote, this is bull. I did call to cancel and was told I would receive an e-mail on how to return the package. Still waiting.

Thank you for the input about the costume service of dermitage.
I was about to place an order and I stopped when I had to provide a credit card number for something that suppose to be "free".

Thanks again

Dermitage damaged my under eye skin

I tried the free trial 6 months ago because I just had slight puffiness and a bit redness under my eyes due to crying and after wearing contact lenses for 2 weeks and working with computer. After just 1 night application and 1 morning application (I used all 3 products - one for dark circle, one for anti wrinkle, & 1 for eyelashes) with the right amount as directed in the box, my under eye skin got pulled soooo tight and it gave me lines under my eyes. I stopped using it right away. It's been 6 months now as I wait and wait for my skin to go back to normal, but instead my under eye became more and more crepey, wrinkled, puffy, and dark like i have never seen my eyes like this before. My skin had loosen up, but my under eye just became weird looking and very unattractive. My eyes just never gone back to the way it was before. Now I have to wear concealer everywhere.

I am so madd and frustrated. Anybody experience any bad effects after using the eye treatment? On their website, they are out of stocks on this eye product. I wonder why, maybe it has caused harm instead of good to the customers.

I am definitely a victiom of dermitage. They stated on the website saying the cream works for en even very sensitive skin. i don't think so. Can anybody let me know that I'm not the only one experiencing this?

I was getting ready to order this product. Thank god I came here and read the complaints first. You know posting your reviews on line does save others from the ill fate that you have experienced. Thanks to you all for the warning and for taking the time to do so.

Iagree. I sent away for the free product and just saw my credit card was charged 96.00 without my permisssion. I hope when I call they will cancel all future shippings or I will change my credit card number. Oh, and the cream does not work, I wish I would have read the complaints first before purchasing it.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! I used dermitage for 2 weeks and saw a difference, got my second month supply and noticed wrinkles I have never had before and even an odd looking mark right of my chin that has never had a scar. I look older than ever! I am 38 and have always looked 20 something. I am extremly upset. I am thinking of suing the company for messing my face up. I am discontinuing use, telling them they damn well better stop sending the product, going back to my old rutine to see if there is improvement. If not, I will be contacting a lawyer. I think this is grounds for a class action lawsuit. I look in the mirror each morning and want to cry. My mother looked at me at Christmas and her mouth dropped open in shock. I look older than her, she is 61.

I have tried their skin renewal complex and lifting cream for the first time yesterday. I did smooth it in under my eyes as well, but looked in the mirror after coming home from a girl's nite out and OMG! Just like you said...crepey, wrinkled and puffy -- I have never looked that old in all my life. I'm 48 but looked 68 under my eyes. I'm sure the under eye cream has similar ingredients to the stuff I used. I did not like what I saw AT ALL. I'll continue using on the rest of my face, but staying away from the under eyes. I'll stick to my Neutrogena eye cream for that area!

Wow that is strange that you said that, I just got my supply of Dermitage and used it for the first time last night- when I woke up I had this odd straight wrinkle running horizontile under my eye- never in all my 35 years have I had that. and my eyes seemed more puffy this morning. I am going to continue using it for another week to see if that is just a tightning process my skin has to go through- if it gets worse, i;ll send it back. Did not see any improvement in the puffiness or dark circles yet- but it's early...

Dermitage Deceptive Advertising

I started signing up for a free trial of Dermitage anti-wrinkle cream. I decided against it and did not follow through. Several days later they emailed me (even though I never submitted the order). They dropped the S&H down to $2. I ordered it. It was not until AFTER the order processed that I saw that I had two weeks to try it and if I don't CALL (i.e., no website easy way to cancel, must go through a sales rep) I will be billed $69.95. If I had known all these details, I would not have ordered it because I cannot afford it. Someone else on this website stated that there is a restocking fee...I didn't even see that mentioned anywhere, even after I received the free trial.

I can't under stand that they want the left over product! Who know's if you get someone else's left over product! If you plan to try the Dermitaage beware of All.It is misrepersented. If I had known about the return portion I would not have orderd it? BEWARE YOU MAYBE GETTING MY LEFTOVER's
