We bought a puppy from this kennel. The owner said she was "selling it for a friend" and that she had never actually seen the puppy's mother, herself. The puppy turned out to have generalized Demodectic mange, which, our vet says it could only have acquired at birth from its mother, and which showed up when the puppy turned 4 months of age. We have spent hundreds of dollars in veterinary bills. The rule of thumb in breeding ethics is that females with Demodectic mange should NEVER be allowed to breed, since the offspring are inevitably contaminated and have compromised immune systems. We suspect that Butler Kennels is a front for a puppy mill or a backyard breeder with no ethics. This Kennels 'resources' should be investigated. Buyer, beware!
I brought two puppies from Tony Butler and am headed back to Texas to get two more at the end of November. I, fortunately, haven’t had the same experience with Butler Kennels as the above mentioned people. My dogs are huge, healthy and worth every penny I paid. When I call to get advice, Tony is Johnny on the spot to give it. Since I’ve picked up multiple puppies, he’s kept one long past pick up date, so I wouldn’t have to make multiple trips. My dog Anubis Von haus Butler is 120 pounds at one years old. To all who are reading these comments, I’ve been to his facility’s and these people are flat out lying to you about him! He’s the truth and I’m blessed to have met him on the dog side of life! My Kennel is the Wright Family Kennel’s from Cleveland Ohio! I endorse Mr. Butler wholeheartedly!
You sir clearly didn't do your homework. It's undeniable this breeder has lied about having his dogs completely Health tested. It's also undeniable he's lied about pedigrees. It's also undeniable he has sold sick puppies that ended up dying. Just because you had a great experience doesn't take away the fact that he unethical and a liar. Glad you had a good experience in your puppy didn't end up dead. And of course you have something invested in all of this because you purchased his dogs which are basing your kennel off of. So of course you're going to come on here and defend him.
Tony Butler is the most unethical breeder out there and I can guarantee you the couple of good reviews he has on the internet were written by him so he can make himself look better. When someone owns as many female dogs, or dogs period as him, you know they’re only breeding for profit.
Go ahead potential puppy buyers, ask Tony for pedigrees and health testing results on his dogs. Unfortunately you will be told he doesn’t give that kind of information until you send him a large deposit, and then once you do that you either never hear from him again, or you get a sick puppy that you will have to take to the vet and spend tons of money on. Tony is a joke and sells his horrible unhealthy puppies for $5000. Even ethical respected breeders that show and health test their dogs don’t sell puppies for that much!
I honestly feel so bad for his dogs and the puppies they produce. How are they treated behind the camera? It hurts my heart to even think about how abused they are. He puts on a good show in front of the camera with his dogs, but I know they are kept in filthy conditions and they aren’t shown much attention accept when they are forced to be bred or when he is doing video of them. And seriously, how much socialization do his many many litters he produces get. Again probably none unless he is filming a video trying to sell them.
The guys motto for his dogs is “the best of the best”…lol.. Show me your best dog in the dog show ring Tony. Put your money where your mouth is, and if you beat me with one of your dogs I will give you $5000. You claim to be the best so let’s show off your dogs to the world. Oh damn, your dogs aren’t American Kennel Club Registered, too bad for you because I was thinking you could have made a fast $5000 with one of your best of the best dogs you have.
And please don’t let this man lie to you and tell you his puppies are sold way before they are born, because that is a big fat lie! Tony, health test your dogs fool!
That's a huge claim to make about a breeder. Are you saying these things because you purchased a dog from Tony Butler? I own Rottweilers (not a breeder) never purchased a dog from Tony Butler.
When I first started seeing his videos on YouTube (late 2023), I was impressed with the quality of the production. When I saw the episode with the puppies eating a dressed cow laying on the ground for several days, that was it for me. What breeder does that?
I've never seen any staff working with him at any time. Does it all by himself I guess. And with the number of dogs/puppies that you see, how can one person keep it up and running? Simply amazing. Come on YouTube, stop it.
It's common knowledge in the Rottweiler of the world that he is nothing more than a puppy mill.. it's also common knowledge he is sold sick puppies that ended up dying. It's also common knowledge he's lied about pedigrees and health testing. He just does a very good job at keeping all of this off of his platforms so he can reel in a steady customer base
He is one of the most unethical so-called breeders ever. Running a giant puppy mill and nothing more. Production is horrible as the dogs are so far outside of the Rottweiler standard. Breeding dogs aren't completely Health tested but he lies about that. Sold sick puppies that ended up dying but he'll also lies about that. Not a single dog he owns has a show or working title and not a single dog he has produced has a show or working title. He's cyber bullies people with his personal and several fake profiles when they speak out against him.
Tony Butler of Butler Kennels is definitely running a puppy mill operation. He had been removed from every ethical breeding group for refusing to show OFA certificates which it turned out he didn't have. He also had a puppy that died from what appeared to be jlpp. He swore up and down that he tested for you this it turns out he hadn't but started March of 2019. Those results showed that he had bred two carriers 10 months prior. You are literally paying $3, 500 for a complete and total junk. Another big claim as his dogs are big champions which is absolutely false. This man has never seen the inside of a show ring. His dog have some of the worst conformation that I've ever seen.
We also got an animal from them and found out that they were members of Continental Kennel Club, which is a place where you could send a picture of practicially any animal and claim it is something and it seems as though if it looks remotely like that specific breed, then you can claim it is, "pure bred." The only place I know where you might get a "Rat Terrier, " and have a really good chance that it is at least 50% real rat! On top of it, we got a "Yorkie" from them and that animal was only a fraction of a real Yorkie especially by the way it looked as it aged. Oh, and our dog had a BAD case of ear mites when we got it. I suspect this is as close to a puppy mill/farm as there can be. Also, a key fact is that a real breeder will show you the parents and be quite proud of that- these people hid it. The worst animal related decision I ever made was to trust these people.
