Burger King - Store #7166 Reading, PA

Burger King #7166, 1197 Berkshire Blvd, Reading, PA 19610/ [protected]

around 4:45 pm today November 18th, 2023, I entered the store with my brother and ordered (order # 85) a Bacon Cheeseburger with only mayo and ketchup and value Fry. My brother placed his order. (only to find out later that the young man took my order wrong by looking at the receipt - unbelievable because I told him 3 times).

When I received my order, it was wrong, so I went up to the counter but as soon as I arrived the young man that took my order approached the manager on duty, he was going to call his mother and walked away. I was certain they both saw me but didn't do anything to assist me.

I said excuse me to the manager who never turned around, but I could hear her tell someone in the back line there was someone out in the front with a complaint about their sandwich.

I proceeded to wait patiently but still no one came to the counter to help.

Finally, the young man returned, and I said hello is anyone going to help. That caught the attention of the young man and the manager, and she turned around. His reply was, did you ask for help? I said yes and with that, the manager said I didn't need to have an attitude. I told her I didn't have an attitude and she said to watch how I was talking. I in return replied to her watching how she was talking to me for I was human. I tried to explain about my burger, but she told me who the hell I think I was talking to like that. Just then two other women came through the side door stating she was the manager and that was her store. I told her that it was not her store, it belonged to Burger King. She approached me in an uncomfortable threatening behavior, pointing her finger in my face and saying she could not get fired because she was not on the clock yet. At that point, the other manager interjected again stating since I was so rude, she was not going to serve me and would just refund my money for the sandwich. It was a $2.99 + tax bacon cheeseburger but she threw down a refund of $4.25 that was how mad and out of control she was. I took the refund and walked to the table where my brother was waiting when the other manager and her friend (employee?) followed me still talking and instigating the situation. She was getting aggressive again, pointing her finger in my face and acting as though she wanted to hit me. I felt like my life was in danger. At one point my brother stood up because he felt like he had to protect me from these two women and others who might want to harm me. I wanted to leave but both women were blocking the door with their bodies finally the manager left, and I took my chance and quickly walked to my Jeep for fear of my safety.

I want to make it clear I just wanted a new burger the way I asked for it without all the hostility, anger, aggressiveness, and acts of threats. That was the bullishness of African Americans towards White people!

I'm a 56 woman who had Open Heart Surgery 5 years ago and still has one remaining artery clogged.

I will never step foot back into another Burger King and word of mouth goes far, I will make sure all my friends and all my social media know of this. I'm even thinking of going to the law. I will not stop until it's resolved.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to me.

Claimed loss: Peace of mind for a couple of hours because I allowed it.

Desired outcome: I want all these women fired because their behavior is very threatening and putting another person into a situation where they have to run and hide is detrimental to someone's health.

Burger King - pretzel burger not available / service with an attitude

Went through the drive through on Sat. night about 10:45 pm. Saw all the signs advertising the new Pretzel Bacon Burger. The attendant told me that they were not available. Very disappointed. Proceeded to order the King Bacon burger and placed two orders . I asked a couple of questions so that I could get my burger as I wanted and the attendant quickly gave me an attitude and continuously sighed. It was very antagonistic. She even sighed when I asked that no condiment be provided on one order. Once I approached the pick-up window, she rudely handed me my drink and then walked away having another employee hand me my food. She obviously did not want to wait on me any longer and also showed rudeness to her fellow worker. I guess she did not like someone asking questions about the menu. This was our first time at this location, and due to the terrible service, it will be our last.
