BookMyShow Seat changed without permission

Yesterday i had booked a movie ticket through your app in PVR at 9:30pm show. I had selected recliner seat 7 and paid the money through UPI. After booking the seat was changed from recliner to classic 11. How did this happed? Why was the selected seat changed without my knowledge? I need an explanation and if possible any refund. Thank you! Awaiting for your response.

COMPLAINT AGAINST: Big Tree Entertainment Private Limited Ground Floor, Wajeda House, Gulmohar Cross Road No. 7, Juhu Scheme, Mumbai, Maharashtra - 400049

- On 25th July 2018, I had booked ticket for 28th July 28 (AS SELECTED ON THEIR DESKTOP WEBSITE)
- The tickets were "incorrectly" booked "by error on the website" for 26th July 2018
- When contacted, they said that I had made incorrect selection.

My points:
- I am 100% sure I made the correct selection (as 13 tickets were being booked in 2 slots for my daughters birthday)
- The show itself was removed a few hours from the website.

Case: 6672292 was logged with them but was closed without re-imbursement of full amount. They said the movie time has passed and was passed onto to PVR and they cannot do anything about it.

There is no answerability of these online vendors. They put the blame easily on customer error - but its not the case this time.

BookMyShow money deducted from my account without the booking confirmation

I booked 3 online tickets for the movie "Bareilly ki Barfi" on 21st August 2017. A sum of Rs 393.72 got deducted from my account without any confirmation of the ticket booking. When i went to the movie ticket collection counter to re-check if my booking had been confirmed or not, i was surprised to know that there was no booking on my name. With this email i am attaching the image of the online bank transaction.

Please provide a refund of the money Rs 393.72 which has been accidentally deducted from my account.

I booked 2 online tickets for the movie "Dharmvir"marathi moive on 17nd May 2022 A sum of Rs 449.20 got deducted from my account without any confirmation of the ticket booking. When i went to the movie ticket collection counter to re-check if my booking had been confirmed or not, i was surprised to know that there was no booking on my name. With this email i am attaching the image of the online bank transaction.

Please provide a refund of the money Rs 449.20 which has been accidentally deducted from my account.

BookMyShow Fake tickets

Avoid this terrible fraud service and do not buy tickets from this website Book My Show! I have ordered two cinema tickets via their website and when I did not receive my order I contacted their customer care and asked what was going on. Their rep assured me that everything was fine and told that I'll get those in cinema! They said that I need to tell my name and that I have made a booking via Book My Show. When we arrived at the cinema and asked about our tickets they said they had no idea what we were talking about. Cinema manager said that all tickets were sold out because it was a premier and that they did not work with a company called Book My Show!
Beware and avoid this site! They are selling fake tickets and there is no way to get a refund!

BookMyShow Refund

Yet to get refund. There is always false transaction. Blocking money.One has to try several times to book a ticket. Very bad experiences. It takes almost three attempts to get one transaction done. Then the refund through bank takes more than seven dayso. This way money gets blocked unnecessarily. Requesting to take necessary measures at the earliest.

BookMyShow bookmyshow.com no help, scary company, Beware 022-[protected]

Bookmyshow is a scary ticket booking company. There is absolutely no help. Customer service is merely scam with pooja, deepika, sheetal, priya, nancy, julie etc and dozens more names. They will keep on calling you and responding with canned and pretaped /pre-formatted messages. If you are struck with your money, or any other issues, you don't expect any help. Think that your money is lost, or you are spending more energy time and resources than what you actually expect back or value of resolution.
It is not worth.

I have been calling them from last so many weeks, but there is absolutely no help. Ofcourse there are canned frozen messages and regret mails ( automated), but no resolution. You are struck for your life, if you expect any help or resolution.

In these circumstances it is very scary to deal with them in absence of customer service. You are risking your time, peace of mind and ofcourse money.

Watchout if you struck you are struck, you can't get refund easily, cannot expect any resolution.
To me it looks like a near scam and who knows this company will remain in business or not like typical Indian scams with scary customer service? I am being foreigner totally disappointed with the way they work.

Avoid them if you love your peace of mind.

Best way is to avoid using them, if you love your time, money and peace of mind. Company is run by bunch of jokers, firewalled by high school drop out girls working in front office or in customer service.

BookMyShow Fraud by Bookmyshow

I had tried to book 03 tickets through* bookmyshow.Com* aroun
1205 pm for movie *khiladi 786 on 9th december 12 for 03.00 pm* show at*funtime cinema sinhgad road, pune* . I made the payment of rs. 531/- Through ICICI bank credit card, however the booking failed for some technical errors of website (I have taken screen print of the massage I got while booking) and I neither received any sms nor any email about the confirmation of my booking from bookmyshow.Com. Ireceived an *sms from ICICI bank at 0546 pm on 09 dec12* *that an amount of rs 531/- Has been debited from my account vide transaction ID 258422 *for
booking three tickets through* book my show.Com .* I immediately called bybank who advised me to contact bookmyshow office for the details. I contacted bookmyshow office & informed *miss hetal & miss shinoya* about the incident who
advised me to send an email. I sent mail and now they told me that they cant refund my money

I had deposited 1500 in BookMyShow wallet for booking ticket of India vs S.A. cricket match. But i couldn't book ticket because of improperly working of site. Now i requested to company for reverting my wallet balance into my bank account. Now Company is denying to reverting back in my account.

I always felt that customer service in India would be good. But I was thoroughly disappointed. I wanted to buy tickets for my parents in India. I used my credit card but I was told that there was an error and tickets could not be booked. Next day, I noticed a charge on my credit card. Been trying to call their helpline, but can never get through to them. Will be disputing it for sure, but wont use this site again.

BookMyShow Refund for failed transactions

I have make a transaction using citibank credit card points redemption for booking run baby run (malayalam movie) on 18 September 2012.The transaction failed but my citibank card points got redemened . Then i have another made my trsanction which was succesfull When i contacted citibank for getting back the redemed points, they said they need proof from book my show.
Please do the need full so that i get my points back

BookMyShow Did not recived the Movie ticket

I have booked 2 tickets for movie "Harry potter and the deathly hallows:P2(HIN)(U/A)" on 16th July around 10:19 am for 3:00 pm in the G3S Cinema:Rohini (AUDi 1), National Cpatial Region, Delhi through PNB net banking, after completion of transaction I have received the ticket confirmation on my phone. When I reached G3S Cinema: Rohini (AUDi 1), National Cpatial Region then they said that your tickets is not available with us. they did not provide me the ticket .i have lost my 433.00 for the ticket and time which is very expensive now a days. so I am requesting to you that plz solved this issue before i go to any complaint office and helping hand...

BookMyShow Pre Booking Is a Fake

Please dont go for pre booking on this website. It's all fake.
I paid for two tickets for Transformers 3 two weeks before it was released. While booking the website allowed me to select time slots during which i wanted to see the show. I wanted to see the movie late in the day and i only had the option to select the last slot the website allowed that was 8pm to 10pm.
On the day of the show i waited till the last hour, the conformation never came, i called the support and they tole me, there was a show at 7:30 and another at 10:30pm as the show timings did not match my pref timings the system did not book the tickets for me.
The advance booking for the movie opened 3 days before the release, i could have booked tickets, but i thought i did pre-booking which said i will be given first preference, so i did not book.
The system did not send me a email saying its not going to book tickets, no one called to inform me this.
I took an early day at office to watch this movie and in the end i could not see it because of this screwup by bookmyshow.com
horrible experience. I will never ever book prebook on this site. I will recommend all of you not to go for prebooking.
I hope atleast the tickets refund will come in full and in time. I wish i could talk to someone important in this company, i would have given them a blast, you took my money 2 weeks before and did not bother to tell me that you did not book tickets for me. I had to call and find out that you enjoyed my money for 2 weeks.
Worst experience.
. PB-[protected] is the pre booking number. In case you are a bookmyshow member reading this complaint, shame on you.

I booked tickets for movie Underworld from Bookmyshow.com. I was given a receipt which had no information and asked me to print and carry to cinemahall. Ofcourse I was charged the full amount before I got the dumb screen to print. I carried my statement of bank account used to book my ticket and the pathetic printout with no info on it and asked movie counter to confirm if the booking is done. But as usual, they were not responsible for the entire thing. There was no way to contact bookmyshow.com idiots. I had no choice but to leave the theatre.

So, I paid money for a show I was not allowed to see. Bookmyshow.com seems to be irresponsible and have started the business of stealing money on pretext of booking tickets, and no representative is available to answerr any grievences. calling them means listen to their idiotic advt'mnt and then keep clicjking 1, 2, 3...to reach nowhere.

What should be done to these Thieves like BookMyShow.com, is there anybody who takes action against such burgulars?

Is there any consumer forum in which I can lodge a criminal complaint against these idiots?

Please help if you have gone through similar ordeal.

I had booked my Movie tickets in Big Cinemas, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Pune through bookmyshow.com, but tickets were not booked and balance was deducted through my account( Acc. no.- [protected])

BookMyShow Free tickets

My credit card statement from ICICI dated 15th November,2007 carried an advertisement which stated clearly that if I book movie tickets from www.bookmyshow.com I would get one ticket free for every ticket booked.The offer was valid from 1st Nov to 31st Jan'08. I booked five tickets using my icici credit card on 27th November and was charged for all five. There is no sign of any free ticket. When i contacted my ICICI credit card customer service, i was asked to contact www.bookmyshow.com for the same. There is no response from them.
Someone somewhere should take action and prevent such misleading offers.

Bookmyshow's business practice is unacceptable. I bought tickets for a concert worth Rs. 3000. The singer of the concert was changed. They did not bother to let us know until the last hour before the concert starts. I was not interested at all for the new singer. I should have got a refund. They just denied. Please avoid this website completely. Sooner or later you will be in trouble.

I have used bookmyshow website and availed its offers no of ocassions. I think you peeple need to look out at the terms and conditions of the offers. Before the payment gateway, you will get a page where all the offers are written and you need to enter your card no to get the benefit, and if the card is valid for the offer the ticket price will be reduced automatically. I have used no of offers using it. I hope my feed back will be useful to you people.

It's very bad site...I have booked the tickets, amount was deducted from (NetBanking) the ICICI bank account and got the technical error -24001 from BookMyShow.com and didn't refund the amount for the same. Have booked the three tickets for 3 Idiots movie of BigCinema Chichwad 10:30 show on 28th Dec 2009, I have sent a mail to BookMyShow, but didn;t get any response yet as in your site has written one working day for get back the response. I have tried lots of time on your customer care number but this number is not in used! Please do needful as soon as possible. The services of bookmyshow are really pathetic. I booked the tickets from the website on the 22nd Nov'09 at around 1 PM but didnot recieved any confirmation mail/SMS from bookmyshowtill this time 5PM even after sending reminders at their helpdesk. My show is at 6PM.Guys, pls donot believe these bogus websites & directly book it by phone from the cinema itself . I am preparing to sue them now.

Hi,

I would like to bring to your notice a very insulting incident yesterday i.e May30th 2009.

I booked my 4 tickets for Jackie Chan's Movie Police Story-V in Hindi, on bookmyshow, for BIG Cinemas RAP-Kaushambi, Pacific Mall, Plot No 1, Dr Burman Road, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad-201010. And I was given the tickets for Hai Kya Dum (which I though probably is the Hindi name of the same movie) but to my utter disbelief the movie was some third class dubbed Thai action movie. I had taken my guests in front of whom I was humiliated for no reason. I also checked with the staff at big cinema and they informed that there was no such movie as police story being run here so far.

My Booking Id: ADRP0000221225 & ADRP0000221228. I would like you to check and take action against this kind of a fraud. I am planning to take this one step further..and its not matter of money but unfair business practices that enrages me more.I think such fraudulent and cheating companies should shut their shop rather than cheating innocent customers

In my case, it is entirely different. I tried booking online thru bookmyshow, but the site was veru slow.. so tried calling them, the guy helped me book the tickets and he asked me to type i n y credit card no. I typed the card no and as soon as I typed the no, i got disconnected. I called again and the next guy said that the previous transaction was not completed and that I will have to type in the credit card no... I was little pissed with this on the phone thing and I confirmed that the credit card transaction was not completed before i hung up. I later booked the ticket online. but when I got my credit card statement I realized I was charged twice, and ICICI confirmed that the transaction was successful both the times. I wrote to bookmyshow and no reply. I'm thinking of taking this matter to consumer court, the amount may be small, , but I feel cheated.

Well in my case the story is slightly different . I booked my ticket vide reference # Id: CXSN0000266659 . I was entitled for Cash Back from Barclays but understand that it was just a gimmick and stunt to lure ppl especially victimise the Barclay Card members BY FRAUDULENT CLAIMS ABOUT CASHBACK.When contacted customer care they give lame responses which made no sense at all.
I sent repeated reminder but none bothers to even respond after that.

I am planning to take this one step further..and its not matter of money but unfair business practices that enrages me more.I think such fraudulent and cheating companies should shut their shop rather than cheating innocent customers

Similar situation for me as well. I boked 4 tickets on bookmyshow on 9th Jan and got 2 free tickets. However my credit card has been charged 4 times for the same transaction which is missleading. I have contacted ICICI bank and raised a dispute for this. Hope it will be resolved ASAP.

I received an SMS from my credit card provider (ICICI Bank) that if I use the website www.bookmyshow.com and my ICICI credit card to buy a movie ticket, I would get another movie ticket free. So it was a classic "buy one, get one free" deal. So I went and booked a ticket using my ICICI card on the website.

Unfortunately, my card was charged for both the tickets. When I called the customer service (who I got hold off after almost a 30 minute wait), he rudely said that I did not follow the instructions on the web site. I told him that I used the ICICI card and as such I should have gotten one ticket free. But he was persistent that I did not click on some buttons on the web site and he was surprised that I even got the tickets.

So buyer beware! This site is a fraud! And do not use this site.

Well in my case the story is slightly different . I booked my ticket vide reference # Id: CXSN0000266659 . I was entitled for Cash Back from Barclays but understand that it was just a gimmick and stunt to lure ppl especially victimise the Barclay Card members BY FRAUDULENT CLAIMS ABOUT CASHBACK.When contacted customer care they give lame responses which made no sense at all.
I sent repeated reminder but none bothers to even respond after that.

I am planning to take this one step further..and its not matter of money but unfair business practices that enrages me more.I think such fraudulent and cheating companies should shut their shop rather than cheating innocent customers.

Also it happend the same with me..I got an email stating i did not follow the links .I am not a lamer I am a techie myself..but they just take ppl for granted and caveat their fraudulent tactics by some wierd / non -sensical...excuses..

I would disagree with it as I am using this offer. Actually before making payment one has to provide the card number in the ICICI promotion box and then the amount automatically gets reduced !

I hold a gold card and the offer was valid for me. The catch is that you have to book 3 tickets and u get the 3rd ticket free. This is mentioned in thier terms and conditions, but I agree that its cheating, since its not buy one get one free.
