I have a old water heater which it seems no one wants to touch. PGE came by, tried to light, said I need a thermocouple. PGE says I need to contact a contract. First one I call is bell brothers. Now I researched and online it said this could run 200. This tech comes out says wow this is older than me. Tried to light, says it could be thermocouple or other, but can't guarantee it. Will just be 800 dollars. 800 dollars. I researched more and this is a 9 dollar part. Can't someone do as a customer wished and install the part. 800 dollars. Yes these are the no surprise guys.

Recommendation: Don't call, it will be a surprise charge
