Bedpage.com is SCAM and FRAUD. They steal money from their customers in Bitcoin.
Bedpage.com stole hundreds from me by deleting my paid ad (along with other people's ads) and stealing my remaining credit, so my account showed zero credit. Then they told me you have to deposit $100 in Bitcoin to "activate" your account. Why do we have to give them $100 in Bitcoin if we only want to post one ad which costs $5?

When I asked them why they deleted my paid ad, they said they did not delete anything. Right, It must be my imagination... Talking with them is useless and extremely frustrating. Their only purpose is to extort as much money as possible form you. They keep saying the only way to "activate" your account is to deposit $100 in Bitcoin. After I followed their instructions and deposited even more than they requested ($102), they credited my account for only $99.97, which means it's less than $100 and my account is still locked... Then they say you need to deposit more money… But you can't deposit only 3 more cents needed, their minimum deposit is $25 more. Do you get the picture? That's the game they are playing. And if you give in and deposit more, soon after that they will lock your account again for no reason, because now they want "to verify" everybody (they tell you that AFTER they received your money, not before). They ask you to send them your video with all kinds of your personal and biometric information (including your face and a sample of your voice). If you don't agree to that, they keep all your money, no refunds. At the same time, they do not post and will not tell you their company's address, phone number, what country they are located or who owns them and how to contact them. And they do not respond to customer service e-mails. Bedpage is SCAM and FRAUD.

They also promote prostitution (sex ads) and sex trafficking in every section of their website, and if you try to report those ads to them, they will not remove those ads and will not even respond to you. That's how they make money. There is at least one known criminal case where it was proven that bedpage.com was used for sex trafficking of minors. You can Google the article "Feds: New York man prostituted, drugged and abused underage girls".

This happened to me last July and I haven't advertised there since. I'm not paying $500 to "activate" and account that has been running for years and still has credit on it. What I don't understand is how some accounts are obviously up and running ads. Did they all pay the extra $500 or were only certain accounts flagged for this special treatment? If I believed they wouldn't steal the $500 I would pay it just to use the site again, but with zero of my dozen plus emails answered I have no confidence it isn't a scam. They used to have a 24 hour chat help with which, although it was generally tedious and frustrating to deal with, you at least knew someone would address your issues. Has anyone been successful in posting after paying the $500?

It just happened to me to. I have been on Bedpage for years. All of sudden my account doesn't work. I get an email saying they can activate the account again, but I need to send $100 worth of bitcoin to special address. I do it. Now I am told there is a glitch and I have to do it again. But I am assured it will work now. Yea ok. I was spending $25 per ad and now they will never, ever get a dime from me. TOTAL SCAM.

I was ok when I deposited $500 but I was super nervous until I used all that money up. My account is now locked again & it’s requesting $3000 to activate. I can’t do that! Do you know another site I can post on? Tia💖

They are crooks. They stole $200 of my money which was in my account for posting ads which I could not post. My $200 is still in my account and I can't use it or get it returned, and they will not let me post ads that I posted in the past unless I activate my account by depositing $500. Are you kidding me? deposit $500 to activate my account! Bedpage doesn't answer emails sent to them or messages sent to them from their web site, WHY would I deposit $500 to activate my account? so you can STEAL more money from me, LOL. BEDPAGE go scam someone else, I was born in the morning but not yesterday morning. Keep my $200 you jerks - what comes around goes around! STAY CLEAR OF BEDPAGE IF YOU'RE LOOKING TO ADVERTISE!

They had the $500 deposit thing and I messaged them and pointed out I had already spent over $500 during the life of my account. They accepted this, but something they did do that was weird was offer me $1000 in credits if I posted their link on social media insta, Facebook, Twitter and linkden and they had google send me some code I had to give them and it was a TOTAL pain in the [censored] but eventually after about a month I did get the credits.

Although they conveniently raise their prices to $20 an ad around then too and also made the ad only last a week same price $20 to bump an ad too so I just made a new one every time.

They had something weird in their web script or domain maybe but it connected to a Porn site that I actually work off and make money and I asked them if they allowed bedoage to do this and they said no

Truthfully I can see why they would do the $500 thing. To prevent spam and reduce the chances of having traffickers use the website. They actually get quite a bit of monthly traffic on the sites as far as users go and tbh I can only imagine the nightmare these sites deal with dealing with DDOS attacks like rubratings which ultimately ended that site, then trying to be affordable, but also safe to prevent trafficking. Since the backpage verdict made them guilty and unable to use freedom of speech as a defense and courts claimed the site was the creator of the ads and therefore responsible because they moderated white words they allowed on their website so that leaves any smaller site kinda forced into not removing or taking down ads like you mentioned, and if they are still up you should actually contact law enforcement so they can contact the site similar to Eros or other sites if you click report trafficking it will give you resources to contact that are not them.

It’s sad that I genuinely feel like any website starting out going forward will be more likely to erase any possible evidence or have automated systems that automatically remove things when it reaches so many complaints so they don’t get held responsible for having viewed it and they also don’t get held responsible for the actions of others.

It’s crazy that it’s not illegal to violate the terms of a website, but what someone violating those terms and using the site for illegal things could make businesses liable.

It’s really going to hurt smaller start up tech and app startups that do not have the type of money to create software that complies with all these demands that are super expensive. ID / age verification software usually cost per ID and per month software to detect anything is expensive for sure and usually only available at a few hindered a month or enterprise pricing. Most of the website that are adult themed feature a RTA LABEL which truthfully is all you need and it’s free BUT parents will cry about the safety of their kids but hand them a loaded gun in the form of unrestricted cellphone use with no parental controls. Using the parental controls would literally make any adult site with the RTA label inaccessible to children but all these millions business are spending to try and combat children acccessing the sites are just going to waste because they already have so many things in place incase something else didn’t work right. Like checking the age associated with the email address but you would have needed to use your real age, they use to allow cards to be used to verify age and even phone numbers but still all require parents knowing what they are giving their children.

Most ppl don’t know to have a PlayStation or Xbox these days you MUST BE 18+ to set it up online and parents may set up the devices for children using the parents details and info and then a parent can create a sub account for children and allow them to play. Kids under the age of 13 can NOT for any reason at all do most things online they can’t have an iPhone or android that’s connected to the app stores because they can’t legally collect the data for anyone under 13 and parents allowing that dispite business forbidding the use really puts those companies at risk of a lot of unnecessary drama and honestly I hope they just make everything for adults only 18+ kids have no business on things that were never made for kids wasn’t made by kids and their parents are constantly neglecting to know what their children are doing it’s crazy maybe then if parents start getting in trouble for allowing this it will stop.

My mom is almost 60 and she knows how to do a vast majority of this keeps up with the news children if they can’t be supervised can also just get an old school flip phone in case of emergency it shouldn’t even have a camera honestly
