Avbob Building Pay our policy.

Good day

My name Is Ruth Poo. Residing in Hammanskraal. I am laying complain about Avbob that was supposed to pay us for a funeral cover. My brother passed away 17 August 2021 then we claim the funeral policy from the Abvob then things didn't go well because the were asking for many things. Then we had to look for another undertaker and bury my brother. Then after the funeral we call them again asking which required documents that needed. Then we send all the documents they requested, suddenly they ask for postmortem. BI report was there that explains the cause of the death. So we are confused. By now they were supposed to pay the funeral policy long time again. We had to call forensic requesting postmortem Then forensic answer was that, provide them with BI because mortem takes time, that's we gave people to claim their policies. Then from there we don't know what is the next step. Because it was nice when they deduct money from our accounts every month so lets them pay what is belong to us.

I am also asking myself that, if we didn't have another undertaker my brother would still be in the mortuary waiting for Avbob to pay?

Avbob Building avbob customer service

Avbob is a big company but their customer service sucks! They make empty promises to their customers. I received a mail from avbob saying they want to resolve a query I had in Aug 2020 with a "gracious payment" of the sum of money I had insured my late grandmother with but to date I am told that payment will be made in due cause. All I want to know is when this "Due Cause" is as yesterday was a full month of me waiting. I have written emails to Liza Venter, Elmarie Stander, Elgeroh Abrahams and their complaints department but the answer that I get is due cause. Our feelings as customers are not taken into consideration when they lie to us. I laid my grandmother to rest in Aug 2020 and have been trying to make peace with her passing as her and I were very close. To be reminded about her 7 months later with all the lies avbob is promising is very shameful. When will the money be deposited into my account as promised? I have a family of elders whom I had told about the call I received from Liza Venter on the 23rd of Feb 2021, promising of a "gracious payment" and now they want answers from me. What do I tell my elders? I cannot lie to my family as avbob lied to me. I cannot go back to my elders and tell them that avbob will make payment in due cause as they say. My family wants answers. We all want to know when due cause is? This I must say has broken the trust my family has in me as everyone thinks that payment was made and I used it for my personal use. Why is my name being dragged on the mud like this? Liza? Elmarie? Elgeroh? Avbob complaint? Someone please take responsibility!

Desired outcome: NO DUE CAUSE

Avbob Building Tombstone

Please refer to email below regarding my complaint with AVBOB, I made a payment of R9600 for a tombstone in 2005 which was not installed, and they insist this was done in 2006, I've request proof of installation and now its almost 2 months and the company is failing to provide the information

I really don’t understand what proof you are looking for as I've already given you my proof of payment of which your accounts department was able to trace with.
My reference number is reference: [protected] Your account reference number with the factory is G20742530545 Please refer to the attached design document which I got from your factory files last month, please note the document is not signed hence I don't understand who gave the go ahead .
All I need is proof of address, grave number, signed design document and signed delivery note.

If you telling me that you don’t have this on your record, please provide me your company's record keeping policy.

i would like to refer to all previous correspondences and all your concerns in this regards.
Firstly our factory informed us that the stone was erected in January 2006 and the last communication you had with our Pretoria office was in 2007. Since then you never contacted our office to make a follow up on the matter. It is now seven years since the order was placed and the stone erected. Please provide us with the proof of purchase and all relevant documents (including the description of the stone) that might assist us with further investigation into this matter.

Please note that I'll like to file complaint with regards to below mentioned tombstone order, kindly note that this tombstone was never erected contrary to what is reported by your factory in Bloemfontein.
It is unacceptable that they cannot provide proof of where this stone was erected and who signed off on the design and delivery.
I initiated this process through your company due family difficulties this was not finalized, yes I forwarded the wording but I did not sign off on the design thus this was not finalized.
Since your factory is adamant that this was erected could they kindly provided necessary information/documentation to prove this.
If my memory save me correct the last call I received from the avbob Pretoria office was in 2007 regarding the processing of this stone and I indicated that I was not in a position to finalize the wording, this order is on hold till such time that I revert back to them and finalize. It is absurd that factory records indicate that the stone was erected in January 2006.
Your speedily resolution and response on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

We have received this complaint from the client that she purchased a Tombstone with our branch in Pretoria (G20742530545) but up to now the stone is still not erected.

According to our Production system it shows that the stone was debited in 2006/01/31 under massa faktuur nr 1780. Is it possible for you to investigate for us if the stone was or not erected, as we have to give urgent feedback to the client regarding this matter.
