Avanquest Software review: System mechanic ultimate defense

NOV 2023. I did not realize I am paying monthly $19.95 fee for live support - besides cost of regular subscription. For the last couple of years or so since i did last software update or upgrade. My mistake perhaps?

Called for support, for first time today as I have new laptop and wanted to install it. I used another incorrect email i have. I called for support to check on my subscription info.

Tech was helpful on the activation matter, did do live connect to my machine then started the heavy sales pitch. Made it clear I have been paying service fee $19.95 a month. Offered to bundle it with IDENTITY protection for 3 yr period of over about $730 approx. Pay total upfront! Just get the email about and accept terms.

I was outraged and said no. I also want to stop monthly service fee. I don't think he stopped that. No tech person should be pushing subscription. Now I have to log in to my account and try to change it myself. And or removie their software and try to stop the payments. I only want ' utilities software. I pay for other antivirus and online protections service, top quality, and a lower fee.
