Natasha I agree with your plan and should be followed but I think it is more then just a dispute for consumer affairs now, this is multiple internet fraud and obtaining money by multiple deception .Graeme and Carolyn Hedge are also avoiding tax in Fiji by laundering income through bank deposits here in Australia.
I say get all information from everyone and give a detail complaint to Federal police Internet fraud section and also your local police station .Give them copies of your complete collection of orders from everyone and also send to Fijian tax department and Police in Fiji, Inspector Tevita asap.
Lodge within our police system and watch them all run to pay everyone back and stop them cold.
Think about this for every complaint on this site there are probably multiple claims that dont even know about this site to vent their frustrations, we must act for everyone and fast.

Gooday all, Vcat is just a waiste of time and take months, this is not a dispute cobbers this is clear old fashoined fraud, my sons accountant has told me to go to ACCC as this hedge and cohorts are in serious breaches of company law and obtaining money by deception carrying heavy jail terms.
TRADE PRACTICES ACT 1974 - SECT 58
Accepting payment without intending or being able to supply as ordered
A corporation shall not, in trade or commerce, accept payment or other consideration for goods or services where, at the time of the acceptance:
(a) the corporation intends:
(i) not to supply the goods or services; or
(ii) to supply goods or services materially different from the goods or services in respect of which the payment or other consideration is accepted; or
(b) there are reasonable grounds, of which the corporation is aware or ought reasonably to be aware, for believing that the corporation will not be able to supply the goods or services within the period specified by the corporation or, if no period is specified, within a reasonable time.
The Feds would handle this for us as international interent fraud and because so many of us would act .Just get of your ### and go lodge a statement to local police or online to Fed Police in each state and copy each others complaints with your statement, include this link.
Then watch them scramble and beg to make good our money.Motivation to make amenz will be higher then ever before or least stop them good and well.

An Australian businessman has been charged with obtaining money by false pretense and appeared at the High Court in Suva yesterday.
Graeme Hedge was finally released on a cash bail of $20, 000 by Justice Sithambarampillai Thurairaja after the court found that there had been no strong objection to bail by the prosecution.
Hedge was charged at the Magistrates Court and refused bail.
He is alleged to have falsely duped an Indian company, Dharampal Satyapal Limited, and defrauded them of F$400, 000 by falsely pretending that he could supply sandalwood to India.
Hedge allegedly committed the fraud through false advertisements on the internet.
While applying for bail, Hedge told the High Court he was not a flight risk, had no previous convictions, had considerable assets in Fiji and was willing to provide a suitable surety for the court.
Hedge also said he had millions of dollars invested in Fiji and his wife and two children were all living in Fiji.
However, while responding to the bail application, the State produced an affidavit of Police Detective Sergeant Satish Chand who said Hedge was also being investigated in another case by police. Sgt Chand said Hedge’s claims of millions of dollars of investment in Fiji had not been supported by documentary evidence and should not be considered by the court.
State prosecutorWaline George also urged the court to consider the fact that the applicant could re-offend while on bail as he had previously used the internet as his medium.
Ms George said the interest of the public and the community should be considered as the amount of money involved was substantial.
Justice Thurairaja, while ruling on the bail application, said while he was mindful of the serious nature of the charge, he was of the view that no strong opposition to bail has been submitted by the State.
Hedge has been released on cash bail of $20, 000 but on the condition that he produce three sureties worth $200, 000 each and that his Australian passport be surrendered to court.
Justice Thurairaja also ordered that Hedge not travel out of Labasa without prior permission of the court and not leave Fiji until his case has been concluded.
Hedge has also been strongly warned by the High Court not to involve himself in any more similar businesses over the internet while the case is being dispensed with.

Giday fellow suckers, yep i too have been subject to being tottally ripped off buy Greame and Austpacific.In short he approached me in Fiji back in 2004 where I was the Australian owner of a company in Fiji producing hammocks, I was under financed and did not have much buisness experiance in Fiji and so after meeting with GH at his saw mill in labasa Fiji I stupidly agreed to become 50% partners with him with my buisness in return for cash injection and a solid base to produce my Chair in the air brand of hammocks.Greame told me he was a multi million dollar buisness and he showed me pictures of him and his helicopter that he uses for arial logging in Fiji.I picked up everthing and moved fron Viti Levu (Fiji main Island ) and moved into the world of lies that is Austpacific Industries fiji in the Nthrn part of Fiji where GH had been set up for two years or so.GH and his wife and two small young daughters couldnt have been more welcoming and I truley believed my troubles in fiji where over if I had only known that over the next twelve months or so my life finacially would be ruiend by this pair of crooks.
In a nut shell I ran the chair in the air company from productions to sales all GH did was to give me a shed and two boys to help me start production .I supplied stock and raw materials that I had bought with me from Nadi as well as sewing machines and other hand tools .I blindly accepted his freindship and was impressed by his office and sawmill and his five star waterfront bures that he had built for him self .I started selling and getting good contracts from local Fijian resorts and internet sales .IAfter aprox one year I landed a good contract with famous international hotel chain with a property in Fiji.the initial order vallued at 100k to supply chairs and tables .The money was deposited into our joint bank account and all GH had to do was supply timber and we where away.A Few days later I attempt to do some banking to purchase raw materials only to find there is no money in the bank ? I approached GH as we shared the same office and asked him straight to face what happenend to the $$ he looks up from his computer crosses his arms and calmly informs me that I owe him $40, ooo for back rent and timber supply, I said your joking mate and he and I had a heated verbal and I left the compound and went home on push bike to town .The next day i arrived as I had done ever otherday for the past year and said giday to the secuity guard on the front perrimiter .The guard turns to me and informs me that Im not allowed on the premmises, the ### locked me out of my own jobsite.so a few days went past and being over a barrel so to speak negotiated with GH and he allowed me back into the compound and he made all sorts of prommises that I still thought he would honor . Aweek later I was in a board meeting with GH and his Indo Fijian manager and accounts girl when GH handed me a document saying that i owed him 40k and that he didnot want to be in partner ship any longer, I said what about our 100k order and said it was his and told me to F off etc.I went to Suva a few days later and spoke to several layers and they all said the same thing "how much money do you have to fight him " "how much time and energy have you got to go through the painfully slow and currupt Fijian judicial system? Both answers wher the same "NOT ENOUGH time or $" I left Fiji to rturn home to fire sail my home as my payments on my loan had fallen behind by alot GH had insisted that all would be good and not to worry about a thing.
I was contacted last year buy some of GH buisness associates (Australian whoom i had met in Fiji, he informed me that GH had scammed both himself and his father whoom had both put major capital behing GH.At first I thought I smelled a rat as I had washed my hands of all thing Austpacific so I didnt take them seriosly when they told me of their woes with GH
Bottom line is he is ### he has no buisness or moral ethic and he told us all want we wanted to hear, he ripped off his own Fijian workers whoom are lucky to be on $3 .00 ph some as low as 70 cents ph, sorry boys no money for wages and his workers had no choice but to come back to work as there is little or no employment in that part of Fiji
His racist remarks daily regarding his staff was appalling and he truley walks around thinking he is King and going fishing and drinking imported VB, s whilst his staff with wives and children had to go without wages for extended periods of time
He lies and cheats everyone, even his wife was cheated on during his frequent visits to Suva .
I have reportedGH to Athorities in Fiji (FTIB) fijian trade and investment board as well as Police .To date I have never heard a word ?Fiji has a third world charm about it and its corruption stinks so Im sure GH is paying some one to keep him out of jail .I know exactly his location in Fiji and some boys that wouldnt mind paying him a visit to say Hi on my behalf but I wont have a part of that as eventually he will be caught and the look on his face when the judge sentences him to real life in the Suva prison will be payment in satisfaction for me .

Hi All,
We also need to be added to the long list of people who have been ripped off. We paid a deposit of $1200 in August 2009. Initially had some contact with Micheal on the mobile, and a fair bit of contact with Roger in Fiji who was offering some sort of hope, but now this has all ended. Even had one email from Graeme who said we'd get the timber in January 2010, but this isn't going to happen. Last word from Roger (the phone number now goes straight to a msg bank and he isnt returning emails) is that we'd get it first week of Feb - but we're not holding our breath.
We are keen for any class action and have also considered making a visit to Carrum Downs. Please let us know what is happening.

Agree with everyone that something needs to be done...reported to police and consumer affairs. But as suggested maybe we should all go to the warehouse and not leave until we get either our timber or our money.
We need action quickly but we are just talking and nothing is really being done about the crooks, they continue to scam others.

I have previously purchased and recieved timber from Graeme Hedge around 6 years ago. But in 2004 I placed another order and paid $4014 for timber that I have never received even though numerous promises have been made by Graeme. Yes I to have been conned by the Hedge clan. I have many emails from Graeme making promises and have even recently spoken to him on the phone where he told me he would return my money. I have also spoken to Mike from the melbourne office and I agree he appaers to be part of the scam.
These people need to be stopped so as others dont get conned like us. Lets hope justice is done promptly.
If michael has a factory full of timber where did he get it from? Is it our timber and he refuses to pass it on? Why cant we pick up the timber we ordered months ago if the supply is already there? Nothing makes any sense. Lets get together, hire a very large tray truck and go and pick up no more or no less of our completed orders. I know this is a hassle but I assure you this will be the only way to recoup any losses. I have also noticed he has no sales on ebay as of yesterday. Is he ready to do a runner? We had better act VERY, VERY quickly if any body wants any timber at all. Im sure no one will get any money back because its easy to leave a bank account empty so the only alternative is to go and pysically pick up whats ours. This should have happened last week so act right NOW dont wait any longer.

What we were thinking is everyone that has been affected email thorugh your tax invoice - bank account number you were given to pay into - and a little summary of what has happend to you and we wíll on behalf of all us submit a group application to the Consumer Affairs and will pdf a copy of the whole report to you - for your reference. If we work together we will get somewhere especially that the bank account is a Australian Bank account something needs to be done.

It appears we have been scammed also. Ordered merbau & paid deposit 17th November to C F Hedge account BSB 112879 A/C No. [protected]. Made many attempts to reach Michael (Carrum Downs) but he did not respond. Pushed me onto Status Section. Received email dated 17/12 stating updating us on order status - of course blamed cyclone Mick had to cease operations stated our order was in hand in production. Another email today 18/12 states cyclone mich passing through Fiji over next few days etc etc. The only cyclone Mick I know is the one that took our order originally. Full of wind but that's it. Going to follow up with Fiji police and our consumer affairs to see what help we can get. Too many excuses for a supposed credible company - I hope no-one else tumbles in to these sharks and that when they are out fishing a real shark ends their scams - Carol & John Bowe, Melbourne.

Micheal is a 40 year old weedy 5 foot 7 bloke with black balding hair and has a scar on one side of his face. I suggest some one else set up a sale through ebay and we all head there at the same time to pick it up. Has anyone else been contacted by a bloke saying that he is located in fiji. He is saying that there is a ship leaving at the end of the month. His name is Roger and he left this contact number [protected]. The thing that makes it seam fake to me is that it comes up with private number on my moble when he calls and I can hear a guy in the background telling him what to say.

Can we find out his home phone or his residential address so we can bombard his home phone with calls and give him a visit at home to see how he likes being disrupted at home like all of us, until we get the truth out of him. I also have been scammed by austpaficic and micheal at 15/47 frankson gardens drive, Carrum Downs. I paid $1330 upfront on 2nd june. he has blamed the ship hitting the reef, the shipment whent to Sydney instead of melbourne and the bad weather in Fiji now he is saying thats it is out of his hands and i have to take it up with Fiji. I asked him to ring Fiji while i was there so i could watch him. but he said that he had no credit on hid phone then i offered my phone he then wownd op his window and drove off. I am also a victim, Michael from carrum downs (15/47 Frankston Gardens Drive Carrum Downs) [protected] should be held accountable for all the victorian victims. I have spoken to the Victoria police and people should print out all of their emails and payments or any proof of this scam and take it to their local station and file a report so he does not get away with anything. I am doing this today, remember he is the voice behind the lies and surely he knows whats going on, dont let him get away. Also I have a suspision he is trading as mickmerbau on ebay as his feedback has a positive feedback from guess who? yes im another victim with $1380.00 down the drain. as everbody has already said promise after promise and nothing to show. does anyone know if the is any chance of a refund or who we can contact to try to get a refund?

We too have been scamed we paid him $2313 back on the 6th of April and have not received anything and it is now December. He is refusing to give us a refund and have not provided us with a refund. Does anyone know the companies ABN Number if they do please let us know. We saved up so much and have stressed over this so much surely there must be something that we can collectively do together. This is very unfair. We too have been liasing with Michael the scammer who has taken our money upfront and not delivered anything yet. I really hope they get what is coming their way. We too have the papers and are applying to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Consumer Affairs!

My name is Louise and we too have been scammed by AUSTPACIFIC INDUSTRIES, all the untrue stories about the delays etc...paid a big deposit of half the order (Michael wanted the full amount so he could put the timber on the ship straight away) back in January 2009. We are still waiting...we now know that we too have been taken for a ride. Never buy or trust Austpacific Industries, they should be made to refund all the peoples hard earned money and be closed down. This has cost us more than just money, for all the trouble and struggles we have been through.
austpacific group are scammers we have been ripped off over $1700 for merbau decking that we special ordered in january 09 it is now september 09 and still nothing we are progressing through consumer affairs as for the above comment regarding recieving theyre timbers i bet they are posted by greame aka micheal aka east coast timbers aka all the email addressses they make up and they keep taking orders for timber and hassling people for cheaper orders yet dont deliver they make up all kinds of excuses that they cant contact you re computers down storms etc yet we have hloiday to fiji twice and they weather was fine they are scammers do not buy from aust pacific group do not deal with east coast timbers etc theyre are scammers and will be caught up with cant wait to see you behind bars we worked hard for our money we are a young family who have been scammed this company is a joke
