Audiogon.com: A Community for Audiophiles to Find the Ultimate Listening Experience
. Audiogon.com - that's where I go to get my audio gear. You know, the kind of stuff that makes music sound like it's right there in the room with you. And let me tell you, these guys know their stuff. They've got a huge selection of speakers, amps, turntables - you name it. And the prices? Let's just say I've never walked away feeling like I got ripped off.
But what really sets Audiogon apart is the community. These are people who love music and are passionate about getting the best possible sound out of their gear. They're always ready to give advice, recommend products, and share their experiences. And it's not just online - they have events all over the country where you can meet other audio enthusiasts in person.
Now, I'll admit that the site itself can be a little overwhelming at first. There's just so much to explore, and some of the terminology can be a bit technical. But once you get the hang of it, it's a treasure trove of information. And if you ever get stuck, there's a customer service team that's always ready to help.
All in all, if you're an audio nerd like me, you owe it to yourself to check out Audiogon. It's the best resource out there for finding and learning about the gear that will give you the ultimate listening experience. And who knows, maybe one day you'll even end up at one of their events, geeking out with other music lovers.
Disappointing Experience with Audiogon: Slow Loading, Broken Links, and PayPal Scams
I've used Audiogon for a long time and used to think it was pretty good. You didn't always get the best deal but you paid for what you got. But now, it's become a nightmare.
There's just so many problems with the site nowadays. Pages take forever to load, links often don't work right, and it's just a real hassle trying to navigate around to find what you're looking for.
And don't even get me started on the PayPal system. It's seriously messed up. I tried to use it to pay for something I bought on Audiogon and ended up getting my money stolen. So not cool.
Honestly, I'm really disappointed with what Audiogon has turned into. It's just not the site it used to be. I don't think I'll be using it much anymore unless they really step things up and fix all these issues.
Audiogon Review: Poor Customer Service and No Value Proposition, Waste of Money
Audiogon ain't no joke, they took my money even after I tried to cancel my subscription. And let me tell ya, they ain't got no clue about customer service. Like seriously, what's the point of paying for a site that ain't got no value add proposition? It's a complete waste of dough.

Audiogon Review: Decent Selection, Reasonable Prices, But Seller Communication Can Be Slow
So, I was checking out Audiogon just the other day, and let me tell you, right off the bat, they are asking for a lot of personal information. I mean, it's like they want to do some sort of a crazy audit on you or something, ya know? And if you don't give them what they want, they're just gonna turn you down flat. Like, why do they even need my PayPal info just to let me create an account? What is up with that?
But, once you get past all of that, I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with what Audiogon has to offer. I was looking for some new audio equipment, and man they had a bunch of stuff on there. I found it really easy to navigate their website, and I was able to find everything I was looking for in no time. Plus, their prices were pretty reasonable, too.
One thing I will say, though, is that I did have a bit of trouble communicating with some of the sellers. I'm not sure if it was just me or what, but it seemed like they were taking forever to respond to my messages. And, like, when they did finally get back to me, they weren't always super helpful. But hey, that's just the way it goes sometimes, right?
All in all, I'd say Audiogon is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some new audio gear. Yeah, they might ask you for more personal info than you're comfortable with, but once you get past that, you'll find a pretty solid selection of products at some decent prices. Just be prepared to wait a bit for some of the sellers to get back to you, that's all.
Beware of Audiogon: Scam Alert for Audiovon Ear Buds
Yo, listen up! I wanna talk about Audiogon, ya hear me? So I bought these Audiovon Ear Buds from some dude on there for like over $70 bucks! But get this, they're just some regular inPods3 that you can get for less than $7 bucks, smh. And get this, when they finally arrived, only one of the ear buds even worked! I've been trying to get in touch with this dude for over a month now, but he ain't responding to no phone calls, texts, or emails. Like, what kinda business is that? So, let me tell you, just stay away from this company. Trust me, I ain't lying, and you've been warned now.
Avoid Audiogon's Shipping and Insurance Services: A Nightmare and BBB Complaint Waiting to Happen
Audiogon is a website that allows audio enthusiasts to buy and sell audio equipment with ease. While their platform may be smooth sailing, it's best to avoid shipping and insurance through them at all costs. Trust us when we say you don't want to deal with their customer service.
Let us paint you a picture. You've bought an amplifier from a seller on Audiogon and opted to use their shipping and insurance services. You better get ready to pull out your hair, because the nightmare begins here. The seller generates a FedEx label through Audiogon and uses their third-party insurance instead of FedEx's insurance offerings - which, by the way, don't exist.
Fast forward 30 days later and you're still dealing with a damaged in shipping claim. And if that's not bad enough, they'll discount your claim like used car salesmen bargaining over the price of a clunker. You may end up $100 short and filing a BBB complaint before they even consider paying you out.
As much as we love Audiogon for what it is, we can't say the same for their shipping and insurance services. Save yourself the headache and deal with these issues yourself. Trust us when we say, "You're welcome."
Fees and customer support
When I decided to sell an item on Audiogon, I had never done that - I'm a normal guy, not a retailer - and I screwed up and selected to pay fees up front. I wasn't being careful enough and didn't understand the options all that well. I listed the item for sale and received a couple offers, none of which was close to what I needed. The item never sold and I asked customer service - Tammy - if they would consider refunding some or all of my $700 listing fee since the item wasn't selling and I was having second thoughts about selling it at all now. I received absolutely no empathy, just questions like "Why did you list it if you weren't sure about selling?" She said she would not refund me any money. All she could offer is to re-list the item. Now, I am out $700 (!) — not a small amount of money. I have a credit with Audiogon that I will never, ever use - I don't sell equipment like this very often, i.e. never. I've since asked to speak with a different manager and no one has responded. They are much better at taking your money than responding to requests for assistance. This is a warning to potential users - be very careful when selecting a fee option because if you screw up like I did, customer service will not help you and you could be out $700 just to list an item for two months. That's pretty good money for no work, Audiogon. I will spread the word everywhere relevant on the internet. BBB is next.
Desired outcome: A refund of some kind.
listings etc
what's was a great website originally has turned into a 3rd rate site
their fees rant that cheap either
additionally, their listing input system is poor
the office girl is very attentive, but she must be overwhelmed with problems on a daily basis

This is for listing ID # lis9jiba. I properly communicated with the seller, we reached an agreement for a sale price, i paid for the unit, then when i checked to see the shipping status, the seller refunded my money and relisted the unit. i have my receipt to prove the purchase was complete. i did everything correctly and the seller just cancelled my purchase. again the sale price was agreed upon, please see the communications between us. i have a receipt. i do not believe Audiogon wants to have sellers just cancel sales of no reason.
I too am having a problem seller accepting offers then canceling for no good reason and relisting item for the original price...Audiogon Tammy has been no help...time to move on

This is the first time i write a review and hopefully the last.
I created an account with these people recently, in order to sell part of my vast LP collection, hesitant initially as i read many bad reviews on various Audiophile sites.
I posted 2 ads for 2 LPs and both sold within 5 days so i was excited with the result. Both items shipped promptly by 2nd class post. Then i listed a pair of headphones, after many messages from a buyer and after providing many good trading references from my ebay account (sold a pair of Krell amplifiers there and many antique items), i accepted buyers offer. Buyer paid immediately through their system with paypal.
Exactly 10 minutes later. Audiogon suspends my account, without any given reason, nor warning or email !
I emailed their support and i received an answer from Tammy Holt stating that my account is fraudulent as i am based in UK and all ebay sellers are crooks!
To my amazement and shock she refused to open the account even after providing them with my ebay id with feedback, she insisted that she closed my account as i didnt provide the buyer with a tracking number! Yes, the buyer who paid 10minutes ago by paypal.
A few hours later i received an email from paypal that the buyers funds are fraudulent and that his payment wasnt authorised, again i contacted Tammy Holt asking to investigate, well she did, fraudsters account is still open and mine remains closed.
I am deeply concerned as i cannot communicate with my buyers through their system, they have my address and my credit card details on their system and i feel unprotected.
They also kept all the funds from my paypal for their commission for the ads i placed to their website, i had to dispute these payments through paypal, they didnt even bother to reply to paypal cases.
I am planning to complain to all relevant regulating bodies in USA for their racing and biased attitude, i am sure as i read the reviews, that there are other people scammed by them.
Whoever needs additional information or have any information to help us shutting sown these people, please provide them here.
audiogon sucks.. really bad
Bought a Preamp off Audiogon. Seller says it is used but neglects to mention it is damaged! He tries HARD to get me to buy it quichly! SO I do. When I get it, yes its damaged and no where in the listing does it state that it has damage. Damage to a digital inpit I migth add that was easily looked over and ignored!. The seller goes so far as to admit he indeed "forgot" to mention the damage in the listing. I accepted $50 offer off the original price. Waited days never got it. He wouldnt responmd to my messages so I left a negative and suddenly he wants to get the negative removed. I email audiogon and tell them do NOT remove that negative. I have clear evidence he lied and sold me a dammaged item. They actually can read the emails to and from each other so I can tell you that I wasnt lying. Well, Its gone! They removed the Negative and now I am stuck with a damaged item and NO recourse at all. They say open a dispute with paypal.! Audiogon is useless. They have no customer support. They have no Phone number. You have an issue you are screwed.
I wouldnt trust Audiogon for nothing! Dont do it...
100% scam
Wanted to buy speakers from www.audiogon.com website and I actually made and order and even paid.
Later I got a message from them stating they needed some of my personal information such as ID number and credit card number. They said they needed the information for shipping. Seems like a scam to me! I'm a frequent online shopper and I know that there is no shipping service which needs a customers ID or credit card number to ship something. Asked for a refund and they did not reply.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
