Answers.com review: Seriously?

I finally understand why answers.com is set up that way. The comments make it clear that you don't need to make more than one or two visits to find that the site is garbage. But some people are new to it and neglect to read that little "answers.com" at the bottom of that interesting link on yahoo. That's how they keep getting money. Keep clicking out of curiosity until you get sick of it and make lots of money for someone while you do it. It is there strictly for profit, since the only thing working is the ads.

Since it's not possible to complain directly to them and it wouldn't matter if you could, i am now making use of the little "x" that appears in the upper right corner of the yahoo link. Just hover in that area and it will appear. It's a way of rejecting the article, and it actually asks why you no longer want to see anything else like it.

Frustration drove me to go through every article offered on yahoo's home page, pick out the ones from answers.com, click "other" as a reason, and type in why i don't like it, mentioning very specifically that it's because it's answers.com. I'd suggest that the rest of you (except those astro-turfing 5-star raters, who apparently work for answers) do the same. It will take far less of your time than trying to get to fact #3 about doris roberts by clicking for the 12th time to get fragments of the one caption that goes with that one picture.

One more thing: the people who buy ad space on this site are apparently willing to waste their money on something they've not taken the trouble to investigate. There's a lot of stupidity involved in that collaboration.
