Angel of Hope - West Meadow, NY review: Memorial brick

Angel of Hope is a memorial for parents who have lost children. There is a beautiful angel and bricks laid with names of deceased children to have your child memorialized. The price is $100 for a brick with the name and express whatever you want. The bricks are laid into the ground surrounding the angel statue and also benches to sit and reflect. I visited the Angel of Hope site in Woburn MA which is next to my town and it is a beautiful, peaceful place to go to reflect.
I went online and downloaded the form with all the information and paid $100. In December 2021 I Eva Guthke sent me an e-mail and picture of the brick stating there would be a memorial service on December 4th in East Meadow NY. I called her and told her I wanted the brick in Massachusetts not New York and she apologized and said it was their mistake and they would reimburse me. She explained all of the Angel of Hope sites are independent and they were sorry. I called her again a week later and asked her where my money was and she stated accounting would send it out within a week. After a few more phone calls to her, I received a call from a "Bob" who told me he would not send me my money. It was quite nasty and admitted he had the same problem with other people. He said the brick was a memorial and what did it matter where it was. I said I wanted it in Massachusetts so I could go and find peace. Mothers live with this heartache forever. He would not give me his last name. He explained they don't have any money as this was a non-profit. My question to him was why did Eva agree to reimbursement and he would not. The conversation lasted 10 minutes and I finally had to give up. I cried the remainder of the day and am still upset. Beware of downloading the form as it does not state that the money goes to them and not where you want.
