I hired Jen Clarke / America’s Business Coach / America’s Business Coaching Academy for business coaching, lead generation support, and funnel-related services. My experience was deeply disappointing, and I would not recommend this company.
My first interaction with Jen began after she presented herself as a writer looking to interview coaches for a book. Once I got on the call, the conversation shifted into a sales pitch for her business coaching program. Looking back, I feel the opportunity was not presented clearly from the beginning. I would caution others to ask direct questions if an “interview,” “book,” “grant,” “special,” or “collaboration” opportunity turns into a paid coaching offer.
I also had concerns with the marketing and sales approach. In my experience, the offer was framed in ways that felt misleading, including references to a grant, a holiday or New Year special, and payment options that were not clearly explained. I understand that specials, discounts, and financing can be legal, but using the word “grant” in this context felt misleading to me because it gave the impression of special financial assistance or outside funding, when it ultimately appeared to be part of selling a paid coaching program.
The PayPal Credit part was also not clearly explained to me. I did not initially understand that this would function as a credit/loan arrangement. That was not how I understood it based on the way it was presented, and I only understood more clearly once I was already in the process. For a high-ticket service, I believe financing terms should be explained plainly and directly before someone agrees to move forward.
I paid $7,995 for the program. In my experience, the amount paid was not justified by what was delivered. Much of what I received felt like general business knowledge, and a lot of it was information I already knew or could have researched myself. I expected more strategy, customization, implementation, accountability, and completed deliverables for that level of investment.
To be fair, her services may be more useful for someone who has just completed a coaching certification and needs basic help starting from the ground up. That was not my situation. I already had systems, branding, content, platforms, and preferences in place, and I communicated more than once that I liked my own systems and did not want to replace them with hers. Instead of supporting and improving what I already had, my experience was that she tried to move me into her preferred systems and way of doing things.
I also did not feel listened to during the process. For example, with the sales funnel, I explained that I wanted something that looked and functioned more like a newer, modern funnel setup. Instead, what I received felt more aligned with what she already knew how to do, rather than what I had specifically requested. Some of the materials and templates felt generic and not customized to the level I expected for the price.
One of my biggest concerns was the Click By Click billing. Based on the agreement, Click By Click appeared to be an add-on platform or membership portal, not a required service and not the required place where my sales funnel had to be created or hosted. The sales funnel was listed separately in the agreement as a pay-in-full bonus. I communicated in writing in January 2026 that I did not want to move forward with the Click By Click platform, but that request was ignored.
Despite that, I was later charged two separate $97 Click By Click monthly fees, one on April 7, 2026 and another on May 7, 2026. My understanding of the contract was that Click By Click would only be charged after I enrolled my first client, which had not happened.
When I questioned the charges, the explanation appeared to change. The charges were originally Click By Click monthly payments, but later I was told the money could be applied toward a missed appointment fee or toward migrating the sales funnel to Canva. I did not authorize those Click By Click charges to be reclassified after the fact.
The missed-meeting issue was also concerning. The contract stated that the coach reserved the right to bill for a missed meeting, but I did not see a specific missed-meeting fee amount listed in the agreement. Several days after the missed appointment, I was told there was a $100 no-show fee, and the already-charged $97 Click By Click payment was being treated as money that could be applied toward that. I did not agree to have a Click By Click charge retroactively turned into a different fee.
I disputed the two $97 Click By Click charges with my bank. After investigation, the bank reversed the charges in my favor.
I also had concerns with the no-refund language. I would caution anyone considering this service, or any high-ticket coaching service, to be very careful with contracts that state there are no refunds for any reason. In my opinion, a strict no-refund policy becomes a serious red flag when the deliverables are not clearly defined, the service is not completed as expected, the value does not match what was represented, or the client’s concerns are not addressed in good faith.
Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that anyone considering working with Jen Clarke / America’s Business Coach / America’s Business Coaching Academy get every promise in writing before paying. That includes deliverables, timelines, funnel ownership, platform requirements, whether Click By Click is optional or required, recurring charges, missed-meeting fees, cancellation terms, refund terms, what “grant” means if that word is used, whether financing is involved, and what happens if the promised work is not completed or does not match what was represented during the sales process.
My experience left me feeling that the program was oversold, the marketing was misleading, the value did not justify the cost, my existing systems and preferences were not respected, the funnel work did not meet what I requested, and the billing practices were unclear and concerning.
