I began my service contract with Alta in August of 2021 at 813 Timber Trail in Cedar Park, Texas to service my residence every quarter for $119 per quarter. I soon discovered it was not working as advertised. I called and spoke to a manager and they agreed to send out another tech. I decided that their service was not working as advertised. The next quarter I noticed that I was still having the same problems with ants, spiders, hornets and scorpions. I called to complain again and they suggested another tech. The next quarter I wanted to cancel the service and they suggested that I had 1 more treatment according to the contract. I agreed to 1 more treatment and then I would cancel the service. When the time came to cancel the service they again indicated I had 1 more treatment according to contract. Now they refuse to cancel the contract over 1 year later and have begun to harass and continue to tell me I have 1 more treatment. I have sent emails and called them to cancel and they refuse.

The fact that BBB has this company as an A+ rating is an embarrassment. This is a dishonest scam. I have been under "contract" since June of 2024. They clearly state if you are not satisfied they will retreat "free of charge". I have done this twice and both time they just move up the next billable appointment, so there is NEVER a retreat. Every service is billable as a punishment for complaining. They REFUSE to allow you to cancel the service endlessly citing the contract, even though the contract states "After the initial 18-month period, service will continue until canceled. Service may only be cancelled by a physical written letter with a wet signature or by calling and speaking to a representative." Every time I call to cancel I get a different answer of a specific time I have to call back to cancel, though no one will define what that is. I spoke with Noah on Sept 8, 2025 who refused to let me cancel the service until my last treatment in October. When I complained to a manager, Garrett, I was told my last service is September and my account will go month to month in October. He again refused to allow me to cancel, stating I had to call back after my "last service". I may have to obtain legal representation since they make up what the contract holds me to, but they view themselves free of their obligations in the contract to provide this service to the satisfaction of me, the customer. It took a 40 minutes from my day to have this pointless and frustrating conversation filled with lies and dishonesty. I was told Garrett is the "highest lever person who speaks with customers". The owner named Chris, apparently can't be bothered with customer issues and he expects the customer to be bound forever to monthly payments for ineffective treatments. Buyer beware! Please read the complaints on BBB before dealing with this company.
