Albertsons - employer/scheduling/favoritism

i have talked to the head of the deli department and the assistant and i have told them that i am getting burnt out on closing and the department head asked if i could do mornings during the week knowing my husband works from 4 AM to 3 PM and that i need to work mornings on the weekends instead of nights because i have two kids at home and i need to be home with them at night. When i do get a morning shift it is only one day, and when i asked the department head for possibly a mid shift on the weekends she said she couldn't afford it but she is giving another employee (who is 18 yrs old and has no kids) all the morning and mid shifts which makes it look like favoritism. The 18 year old has acrylic nails, has a tendency to not wear a hairnet, not wearing proper shoes, not putting the deli meats away for anywhere between 2 and 6 hours and even then i have to put them away, she has had customers complain about her attitude and slamming the cold/hot case doors, usually on her phone and if she is scheduled until 130 and i come in whether she is in the middle of something or not she will leave. Tuesday July 09th i came in at 430pm, was told we have to make four of each sandwich for the following day because the department head wanted it don't but amy and patty (from corporate) said they wanted protien done, the 18 year old told me we needed to do the sandwiches and that she didn't care if she made Amy or Patty mad. This is not the first time she has ignored a direct order from corporate, she has also ignored our store director.
I understand that i have limited availability but that is no reason to screw one employee over for another who has never worked in the food industry let alone customer service.

Learn to use punctuation! Also, just because someone is younger and doesn't have children does not mean their life and time is less valuable than yours. Get over yourself and lose that entitled attitude.
