When i went back to the site to look for clues as to what went wrong, i found a small notice that said they basically make guesses about the filters they sell, and that their descriptions aren't always accurate. It feels like they're just trying to avoid any kind of responsibility. I don't think that's right. i even reported my experience to the BBB to hopefully prevent more people from getting scammed. All in all, it was a pretty bad experience and i don't think i'll be using airfilters.com again.
