I received my Visa statement today and there is a charge for $44.85. I did NOT order this and I will not pay it. I was to be charged only for the shipping cost of $4.95 for a FREE sample of Acaipure. Today is 12/4/08 at 3:55 pm.
I have tried to call and am on HOLD for over an hour. This charge will not be accepted. What kind of scam are you into? I want a credit to my Visa and a confirmation of that credit by mail and I will not wait--I want that credit to my account now and the confirmation now. I simply will not put up with this. I ordered a trial of the product called Acaipure. I received the shipment and was billed 4.95 for the product. I then was billed 39.95 as I hadn't sent back the unused amount. I then got billed anohter 44.90 for another shipment of Acaipure which I didn't order. Apparantely, when I ordered the trial bottle, I ended up getting signed up for some program to receive regular shipments of the product. I received no paperwork in the mail to confirm this or anything other than having my credit card billed.

Today I contacted the customrer service number and waited over ONE HOUR to speak to somone who was completely rude, who told me that the co. shouldn't have to "hold my hand" to read the fine print when I was ordering the product. I informed her that the most recent shipment was sent back as refused and she let me know that I will not be credited for the shipping and that there is a 10% stocking fee.

This is very poor customer service and there really needed to be some form of follow up letter with the shipment confirming
what I had supposedly signed up for to be billed for the product once a month. Instead, there was a single page flyer sent with the bottle not giving any information about the sign up at all.

I am separately filing a complaint with my credit card co. to get the charges re-credited to my credit card.

I order the FREE trial product and then received not only the product but two other products not ordered (gum & water)---are you kidding! I tried on several occasions to phone them to return the product with always an expected wait time of 40 - 50 minutes. I then tried to contact them via e-mail without success. The next month another order arrived --- another call and wait time. This time they disconnected me after 55-minute wait.
I've contacted my credit card company and a dispute of charges in progress. This is a SCAM and I'm surprised that Oprah has endorsed this companyies product with unethical practices.

I tried the Acai Pure for the $4.95 shipping. Then was charged $39.90 every month, I was ok with that for a couple of months. Wasn't happy that they can automatically charge your card for it...but, ok, I went with it. Now I noticed on my bank statement that I can't cancel it. On May 27, 2009 I was charged from Arizona, assuming for June then on 7/2 & 8/3 the charge on my card is from 888223 Gibraltar. Then on September 1st the charge was from 888572UK! What is this? How can I cancel it now?

I ordered the trial version of acaipure on 11/15/08. I was charged 5.95. I did not accept anything to have orders sent to me automactically every month. I received another order on1/21/09. I did not order this and can't get in touch with anyone by phone or e-mail to send it back, because you have to have a return merchandise authorization to get a refund and you also have to pay a 15% restocking fee.I am very dissastified with the product and the fact you can't get in touch with anyone to get it returned and get a refund, therefore I am calling my credit card company and having them to stop running charges through on my card. I hope those people that are ripping others off are caught and shut down and have to pay dearly for what they have done.

There needs to be something done about this company! You see on the internet that you only have to pay the shipping fee of $4.95 to receive "a free trial of acaipure" then get slammed with charges for that, hoodia water and green tea! I informed these people that I had just been laid off work and cancelled my order on Monday..it's now Thursday and my account has been charged another total of $118.50! I just called them and wasted my breath..DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID..AVOID THIS SCAM!

I saw the famous "Prah Recommends" ad online. Like an idiot I assumed she had known about this, but they are using her face without permission.

I went ahead and STUPIDLY ordered a free trial for $4.95 and immediately my account was debited $44.85 for a free trial of some Hoodia junk and some other junk, and I tried to stop payment but it went through. Very slick. I've reported them to my bank.

I sent three or four emails which have gone unanswered, and I tried to get through on the helpline. I finally got an "operator" (scam professional) after 65 minutes on hold. He was mocking me and making fun of me, not letting me speak, interrupting me, and then finally would not agree that I did not see the "pre-approved"? orders for all the other junk that they charged me for.
That S * O * B hung up on me after 65 minutes on hold!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ACAI-PURE OR YOU WILL BE FORCED TO CLOSE YOUR CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT, AS THEY WILL REACH INTO IT AT WILL AND YOU CANNOT STOP THEM!

The web page says "Claim your RISK FREE Trial Offer Now", but the risks are hidden in the terms and conditions fine print pop up at the bottom of the page. If you don't cancel before the 15 day free trial is up they will automatically bill your credit card for a new shipment. Another catch is if you do not return the unused portion before the 14 day free trial expires you'll get billed for $34.95 (the remainder of the bottle after the 14 days is up). I've been using it for 3 weeks with no positive effects at all. I didn't read the fine print and didn't think they'd take back an open bottle. Don't waist your time or money. It is a scam.

AcaiPure was advertized as a RisK Free Trial Sample for $4.95. This product is anything but risk free! I have been charged $39.95 to my credit card which was never authorized by me, plus they sold my credit card number to Fti-Fac.com and they are now charging me $29.95. All of this under the false advertising of Risk Free Sample-I don't think you can be more fraudulant than this! Plus the phone number they give you to call is constantly busy and when you do get a response it is a 30 minute wait and then you are cut off with a busy signal-so contacting the company is virtually impossible!
Please be ware and don't purchase this product-not even a trial sample.

I ordered a trial sample of Acaipure on 1-06-09. Today is the 21st and I have not recd. the product. I would like to cancel as I went to my Doctor and he said that due to my heart and blood pressure condition he does not want me to do this. My order # is 2424540. They said that all I had to do to cancel this was to let them know the order number, but I can not find anyplace to let them know. I also order the colon cleanser trial sample on the same date. I recd this, but did not take until I went for my Doctor appointment. I can not take this either. The colon cleanse company took out of my checking account $89.13 for a month supply on the l9th of February. I called them and told her that I had not had the product for l5 days as they did not send until the l0th and I recd it on the l3th. She said that I had ordered it l5 days ago and that is what they go by. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said she could not transfer calls. I called my bank and they can not do anything about this either. PLEASE help me in this matter. A. Lacewell

There was an ad on the CNN home page at the beginning of Sept08 offering a free sample of acaipure berry pills for $4.95 shipping only charge. They claimed to be from Australia and were a way of ridding your body of toxic materials. I took the chance since they were SUPPOSED to be free except for shipping of course (4.95) and it was "CNN". I gave my mastercard info for the $4.95. When I received the pills, With them came some gum and a bottle of drops which were supposed to be the same product in different forms, Of which I did NOT order or expect or want. Now, with this package of 3 items came a small letter telling you in order not to be charged $39.95 for the other 2 items(that were not wanted or ordered) you had to send them back within 3 days at your own expense. So before I could send them back, my account was charged the $39.95. So, I tried calling them getting the same answer each time; that I needed to call back because of the call vollume, which I have every day for the last 2 weeks with the same response. Next, Sept 24th, I was charged ANOTHER $44.90 from the same company Acaipure causing my account to be overdrawn and causing NSF charges of $74.00. (37x2). Now I have had to cancel my card and had to put in a card dispute. In the meantime, I have been charged $158.85 From Acaipure for some FREE pills that I was glad to pay $4.95 shipping for. This is a criminal and terrible scam. I have seen many complaints about it and something must be done. CNN should also be held responsible. They are a huge news company and did not research this company or this would not be happening. I have finaly got ahold of an email address for this company and made the same complaint to them. I work hard for the little money I make and I really think it's criminal for anyone to scam others out of their money. I am 55 years old and can usually spot a scam, but since it was on the front page of CNN web page, I thought it must be legit. It is very disappointing that no one is looking out for the consumer. CNN, you have lost a fan and I will put the word out to everyone I know. Sincerely disgusted, Patricia Edmonds

I'm yet another person who fell for this scam. My FREE sample was supposed to come at no cost except for a $1.95 for S/H fee. A charge is now pending against my debit card for $41.85 from this unethical company. I wonder if it even exists. The phone number rolls through a computerized network of various voices saying we're too busy to take your call. I wrote an email to: support@centralcoastranutra stating I wanted the order canceled immediately. Surprise: No response!

I have filed an on-line complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center and will followup with a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I have alerted my bank that I will dispute the charge once it has processed. I will not pay this company one cent. Your bank can help you do the same. If this "fictious" company has your credit/debit card number, explain the circumstances to your bank and get a new card issued with a different number. My bank also offered me a second credit card strictly for on-line purchases. It works like this: make an on-line purchase with this card account number and transfer to that account, from your primary checking/debit card, only the amount necessary to cover the on-line purchase. My bank is offering this service with no fees involved. Check it out for your safety. There are too many other scam artists out there waiting to steal our money in this age where we do virtually everything on-line.

I ordered a weight loss product from them on a free trial basis and was to only pay 4.95 shipping and handling. When I checked my bank account I was charged 44.85. I then looked up the name nexted to the charge and found that they are a scam. I tried to contact them by phone, but no one was available and they kept putting me off. I then emailed them and I am awaiting an answer. I contacted my bank, but in order to get any thing done I have to write them a letter disputting this.
Please let me know what to do.
Thank You

Disappointed in AcaiPure

AcaiPure is by far the worst company/product I have dealt with in terms of customer service. Many of the customer service personnel (Valerie in particular) and her manager (Manny) need to be trained in the proper way to deal with and talk to customers and in manners also. They were not only very rude (Valerie) but very condescending (go look that up Manny - you will see your picture).
If they worked for me and I listened to the conversation we had, I would have fired them both on the spot! Wake up Central Coast Nutraceuticals Inc., is this who you want representing your company?
Stay away from their "Free Trial Claim" or you too will be sucked into the AcaiPure nightmare of being charged for something that you may not want. They will ignore your request to send back the product and not be charged anymore no matter how you ask unless you specifically ask for an RMA, even then you may be ignored.
Good luck to you if you do not heed this warning. I'm sure there are better companies that make similar products; look online for complaints and stay away from the companies that have them (and make sure you read all the fine print).

Originally last month I signed up for a free sample after reading Oprah Winfrey had lost weight with this product. The product arrived but I was afraid to try it because of certain medical problems I have. I did not return it then as I thought it was a free sample. Then when my visa statement arrived I found not one but two charges from Acaipure. One on 9/2/08 for $44.85 and one on 9/22/08 for $39.95. Then two days ago - without any order being made by me - another bottle from Acaipure arrived with an invoice of $44.90 stating this amount would be charged to my credit card. What kind of a scam is this? I am going to report this directly to the Better Business Bureau and am returning ALL this product today and these charges had better be reversed on my credit card

To whom it may concern,
I only ordered free trial of Acai Pure and I only agreed to pay for the shipping. I ordered one for myself and one for my mother. the charge for shipping is $4.95 each so I expected $9.90 to be charged to my debit card. company charge $44.85 twice to to my debit card. I called your customer service department this morning. I reached a rep who was very rude. I do have an accent, but I hae never had trouble with anyone understanding me. (I actually work on a front desk talking to patients everyday) I had to repeat myself several times. The rep was unwilling to try to understand me, he told me he has a problem with speaking to people with an accent. I then asked him if there was anyone who didn't have a problem. He told me every rep in the company only speaks english. This is discrimination. I am a US citizen. I became angry at this point and asked to talk to his boss. He hung up on me. His behavior was totally unacceptable. It took me 2 hrs to reach another rep. I explained my situation to her. she indicated there was no way to fix it the items had been shipped. because of the experience if the items arrive I will refuse the shipment and I have already disputed the charges at my bank. and will call the attorney general and report it to the better business bureau.

I ordered a free trial of Acaipure and agreed to pay shipping costs.
I noticed as I was clicking the ordering icon that 2 other items were
automatically checked off (their suggestions) and I tried to cancel the
order and I couldn't get back to that page and there was no place to cancel
the order. Instead of the shipping fee, I was charged $44.85 on my debit card.
If I had ordered it on a regular credit card, I could at least dispute the charges.
I sent them 2 emails, one immediately after I ordered explaining what had
happening and to cancel my order.
I also tried to call their customer service 800 number and a recording said I
would have a 64 minute wait time. I tried later in the day and it would have
been a 75 minute wait time.
I emailed them again asking them to refund my card immediately and I still
haven't received my refund and it has been over 5 business days. Also, I have not even received the product so I can return it.
There is no where to turn

Like all other complaints - the government needs to prosecute. We are looking at a class action that should tie up any assets they have for sometime and identify the specific people so we can take direct action if you know what I mean. They charge your card for items you do not receive and provide misleading information. I contacted Oprah who is very interested in use of her name for practices that do harm to people. Do not order with a credit card. We cancelled our card a filed a dispute (they are sending a new card). These people are playing a dangerous game and will no doubt pay in many ways for their exploitation.

On 11/13/08, I ordered the "free trial", and was immediately charged $44.85, the product finally arrived on 12/15/08. At this point I was already beyond the 30 day trial so I actually filed a complaint with my credit card company and am waiting to hear from them. This was after trying to call the "800" number, receiving a message that the wait time (due to popularity of product) would be six minutes. I placed my phone on speaker and continued to work. After 30 minutes, I hung up, but their message referred me to getorderhelp.com. Well, since I didn't have an order yet, I didn't have an order number. Today 1/21/09, I access my banking info on line and find they have now billed me an add'l $39.95 because I didn't return the initial package, and have charged me another $44.90 for the 2nd shipment which I have not received. I placed another call (wait time to be 11 minutes which turned out to be 16) and told the girl to CANCEL my order. She was not very nice, so we'll see what happens. Once rec'd (if that happens it will be returned). Do NOT buy this product.

I ordered a free sample of Acai berry supplement. I was charged approximately $44 for two additional items that I did not purchase (Hoodia gum and Hoodia water). I phoned the number on my bank account and the agent said "I must have ordered it". I explained that I am an avid water drinker and would not have purchased water on line, especially $39.00 worth of water. I asked him to cancel the order. He claimed that it was already shipped out. This is right after I ordered the Acai berry supplement, and the charge was still "pending" on my account. He claims that I can return to sender without opening and I will be refunded. I am offended and disgusted with this kind of treatment.

I was stupid enough to order a "risk free trial" of Acai Pure for the s/h cost only (4.95). About 3 weeks later, my account was charged 39.00 (approx.). I went back to the ads and read the fine print that you only have TWO WEEKS after you receive the product to "cancel your membership" or you will be charged the cost of your "risk free" bottle of crap. Furious, I called the customer service number and got the same recording others did, stating a "71 minute wait time". More furious, I waited and finally got someone on the line after an hour. She said "you have to send it back within 30 days" to get your refund (39.00) and luckily I still have a few days left. I confirmed the return address to ship back the stupid bottle with her on the phone that is on their scam website: Fulfillment Center, ATTN: Returns, 12399 Belcher Road South, Suite 140, Largo, FL 33773. She said you should get a delivery confirmation number when I asked the question "what if the mail is slow", which I will of course with a signature confirmation as well. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THESE SCAMMERS! But of course if you are reading this, you already did. . .just like me.

I AM CONTINUOUSLY GETTING CHARGES FROM THEM. I ORDER A "TRIAL" AND WAS JUST SUPPOSE TO PAY SHIPPING AND HANDLING. THE FIRST CHARGE WAS $49.95 (THEY SENT ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS IN WHICH I DID NOT ORDER) BUT TO RETURN THEM, THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME 18% PLUS THE S & H...IT WAS CHEAPER FOR ME TO KEEP THE "UNWANTED" PRODUCTS. TODAY, I RECIEVED ANOTHER CHARGE FROM THEM FOR $39.95...I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ITS FOR. I TRIED TO CALL THE 888 # BUT RECORDER ON THE OTHER END SAID IT'S A 33 MINUTE WAIT...WHAT A SCAM.

On nov. 15th, i order the acaipure dietary product on - line and was informed that i would only need to pay for the shipping. If after 14 days, if i was not satisfied i could cancel future orders and return the product for a full refund.

Since i live in hawaii, i did not receive the product until dec. 8th. When i opened the package, i was surprised to see 2 additional products, a hoodiaburst gum and hoodiawater drops. On that same day, i immediately called the company to inform them i did not order those items. They told me i did not decline the additional items (I did not see any information about those items on the order form) , but i could send them back for a refund. The representative offered me an instant credit of $15. 00, to keep the additional products (It would save me the trip to the post office and also a fee for a re - stocking) . Those products costed $9. 95 and $29. 95! I was so upset, i asked them to cancel any future orders. By the way, i did not receive that
"instant" credit until dec. 20th.

On dec. 16th, upon checking my credit card statement, i noticed i was charged $29. 95 from a www.Fit - fac.com (Acaipure's partner company) . I immediately called the fit - fac company and they could not help me, but was told to contact the acaipure. I called and the representative did not speak well, and told me they found no records. I questioned, so why am i still being charged?

Apparently, when i so called "failed" to cancel my order after the 14 day trial, i was charged the $39. 95. But why was i charged an additional $29. 95 from their partner company. I have emailed and called with no results.

I do hope that no one else will go through this difficulty and have a bad on - line purchase experience. I thought i was getting a reliable product, but unfortunately i was terribly wrong. Please inform others to be aware of the "scams" out there!

I ordered a free sample of the product and expected to pay shipping & handling. The product is Acaipure. They charged my account $44.85 on the 10th and I still have not received my free sample. Shipping and handling was quoted as $1.99. I called the telephone number for customer service and the wait time is 65 minutes.
Not only did they overcharge me, but they still have not shipped the product and they are impossible to reach ny telephone. You can not email them from their website.

I had order Acaipure, which was supposed to be $4.95, for shipping. I had $44.95 taken out of my
checking account. On Sept 8, 2008, $33.95 was taken out of my checking account, for the small
bottle of Hoodia, which was listed on the previous form, as no charge. I had another for $44.90 taken out
of my checking account on 9/22/08, for product, that I didn't order, and I haven't receive it.
When I called the company, I told them that I didn"t receive the merchandise, I want the money place
back into my account. They claim the merchandise was already send out. I was told when I receive it,
sent it back to the company, I will receive, part of money back within 20days. At this time it s been
it has been past 14 days. I am filing a complaint against company, and I would like my money back,

Purchased the item Acaipure and was charged for delivery of item, originally 39.95. After the second month I was charged 44.90. I have been using the item from November '08-to the present (July 31, 2009). I began receiving charges, on July 1 & 31 ($1.12) and August 4($.50) on my bank statement for 'international fee' from this company. There is nothing on the package that says it is coming from an international source. This is what I received from my bank after inquiry to the charge:

"Thank you for your message. I see it originated with the following purchase: OnV/acaipure [protected] GIBRALTAR GI With regards to your recent email, the charge that we pass to our customers was through Visa and MasterCard. These companies had been assessing the total of 1% to each check card transaction posted. As of 4/1/05, Visa began assessing this fee to the financial institution rather than the cardholder. Like most peer financial institutions, we redirect the 1% fee back to the customer and charge an additional cost of 1.5%. We do list this transaction separately on your monthly banking statement and would like to state that you would also have the option of performing ATM withdrawals and using cash to pay for the purchases (Please note that the cost of $3.50 may apply for the international withdrawal). The difference in the fee covers the costs associated with the increasing number of fraud-related international transactions."

What else will they be charging you for?

I ordered the free sample product with the $4.95 s&h and cancelled any future deliveries within 10 days of receiving the sample. I could not reach anyone at the phone number, so I emailed them with a notification request for when they had opened it. I received back notification that their server would not emails requesting notification. Therefore, I sent another email and demanded that they responded whenthey had received my cancellation or I would be my Attorney General. I did receive a response confirming my cancellation, but 20 days later I have a charge on my credit card for $39.95. It seems that their charges are all over the place with no set amount and they do not just go by the free samples or take into account the cancellations. I think it should be brought to Oprah's attention because I have received no benefit from the pills and I'm not even sure that she truly endorsed them.

An item with price tag of $4.95 for shipping! I was charged $44.95. they deducted 20.00 and said I should not return the item and they will cancel the account. Then the next month I was charged to my visa another $39.95.. Called and was told it was the balance due for the products that I did not return... RIP OFF... the said they will put ithe 39.95 into collection... At age 81 I really don't care. There are too many Crooks on the internet... I suggest before anyone buys on the internet... check them out on these Rip off sited!

I responded to a free internet offer for a sample of the Acaipure product for shipping cost only--$4.95. My account was billed $14.95 and I was sent the free prduct and a pack of gum for $10, which I had not requested. I have since been charged another $39.95 and I have no idea what that is for. I will be contacting my bank tomorrow. I tried on numerous occasions to call the Acaipure Customer Service number but it is always busy. Please help. Thank you!

Returned trial bottle and willing to pay the $4.? for it. Had bad headache and stomach ache as result of taking the diet pills. Was sent another two bottles (did not order this) and was charged $39.95. I returned the unused order plus the trial bottle and asked for at least a credit to my card for $39.95, with the result that on my next statement I had an additional $44.90 charge on my credit card. I am very, very disappointed, especially since this was supposedly a product that was featured on Oprah. I have been calling the company continuously for the past week and have gotten a recording that informs me there is anywhere from a 70 to 50 minute wait "due to the popularity of our product." HAH! I am 75 years old and can't believe I've been taken...but then, I believed what was featured on Oprah.

I saw a free trial for AcaiPure to pay only s/h of 4.95. I ordered it on 11/01/2008 and received it several days later with products I did not order, my credit card was charged 44.85 on 11/08. Since than, I have been calling the 888# AND BEING LEFT ON HOLD FOR OVER 120MIN. I have left voice messages to cancel and stop charging my credit card with no response. I have filed 2 disputes with my credit card company and am still waiting! I have again been charged and have not received product. I certainly DO NOT WANT THE PRODUCT, it doesn't work, I want my MONEY RETURNED! What else can I do?

Order product for $4.95. They charged me $44.95 on September 2, 2008, I emailed compnay and called and talk to a representative and cancelled my order. I returned product. On September 22, 2008 they charged my account $39.95.

No product ordered or received! It is now time to get the Attorney General involved in this FRAUD company that used OPRAH WINFREY as a spokesperson!

Scam! Agreed to pay shipping only of $1. 95 and 2 wks. Later, my account has been charged 39. 95. With no permission! I have researched and read the complaints. This same thing happens to anyone who takes their "free" sample. All the people complaining sy they can't find any help to stop it because the company puts you on hold for 80 - 110 minutes. I don't want to have to close my account just because of this fraudulent company. Someone needs to stop this!

offered free trial sent to me with additional products i did not ask for and was charged for. trying to say i did ask for them. they give me the link above to see my order and it is their front page ad only. then trying to charge me for additional amount of origional cost of free trial to cancell my trial offer. Exactly what is a free trial? last time i checked it meant no charge! so how can they come back and say that they are now charging me for my free trial offer?

I received an email saying that Oprah suggested and supported this product. Acaipure offered a free trial for only shipping. I then called the number to cancel because it didnt work. The hold times were over an hour. I was then charged 39.95 and then another 44.90. This is a scam and we all should do what needs to be done to get this cleared up. I called for 4 days straight and there has been over 60 minute hold times. I called today and waited over 60 minutes and still didn't get anyone! This needs to be stopped. I will file a complaint with the BBB as wel as make as many legal complaints possible.

Company continues to attempt to collect $39.95 for supply. Initial order for risk free trial and pay $4.95 for shipping & handling. Product returned. Called [protected] to cancel membership. Now a month later, still trying to debit my account for the $39.95 that the company says is my balance. The person I talked with to be sure membership was cancelled and product returned, did not say that I needed to do more to complete this cancellation. Today, 5/26/09, the Customer Service persons were rude and said I would be placed in a collection agency for $39.95 because that is my balance. A balance on a product that was I paid the shipping & handling to receive and return to them. This is such a SCAM! DO NOT BELIEVE THIS COMPANY WILL ABIDE BY THEIR OWN WORDS!
