My name is Monica Hersey and my number [protected]. On Monday November 21, 2022, I caught a flat tire on 295 S, Moorestown New Jersey about 6:30 pm and called AAA Mid Atlantic, my friend Maurice Forde number [protected] has a classic membership with AAA Mid Atlantic. I was assured that someone would be out between 6:43pm - 9:43 pm. The AAA Mid Atlantic Preston Jones got there about 9:00 pm and he switched out my tire for a spare tire. I told him that my battery needed to be changed he said that he wouldn't be able to change it that he would change the next day at 4pm. He gave me his business card (No Fear Over Here Auto Service, phone: [protected]), and said to call him when I got off work. November 22, 2022, I called he said that he couldn't come out that he could come out the 23rd of November at 4pm. So, I let him know that I can purchase the battery from Auto Zone and asked how much he would charge to install it, Preston responded $50. We both agreed on 4 pm Nov 23. Preston called me and let me know that he arrived at my residence to change the battery, Maurice took the battery outside and when I arrived Preston said it was the wrong size and Myself and Maurice asked him if don't mind if we go and change the battery and Preston agreed. I called Preston while I was there, and Preston told me that he broke the screw to the battery hold down and that I needed a new and a negative charger clamp. So, by the time we were on our way back to Preston he called and said he had another emergency and that he would have to come back to fix the battery and his fee went up to $150. So, on Wednesday Maurice called AAA to see if someone else could fix the battery, so another guy came out and the way to get to the battery is the driver side front tire. Instantly the mechanic let us know there were no fasteners no screws or anything holding the battery in place. Preston had put everything back together without the fasteners, screws, and with one plastic tie to hold up the guard for the battery. The mechanic said to call AAA back and let them know that I needed a tow truck and to take it to AAA Tire & Auto Service. November 25, 2022 (today) Maurice called AAA at 8:30 am, and they arrived at 8:56 am. AAA is located at 4010 Dearborn Circle, Mount Laurel, New Jersey 08054, phone: [protected], Kevin DiMatteo Car Care Manager helped us. We told Kevin exactly what the problem was, he tried to fast talk us into signing some paperwork for almost $700 so Maurice signed, but I told Kevin I did not need a wheel alignment and some other things he threw on there, Kevin ripped it up and became a little bit irritated. He took off all the other things I told him I wanted a new battery & a new rear tire, Maurice signed paperwork with about $400 worth of estimate. He then said he don't know how much they would charge for a battery hold down. Maurice left to return the battery we purchased from AutoZone and waited for my car to fixed at AAA. At 2:40 pm Kevin called and said the bill is $606.66 for a battery holder, battery, & new tire. I was like what that's too much money, so I said fine i need my car fixed because I missed 2 days at work because my car was not fixed. Kevin called back at 2:49pm and jumped the price up $680 so Maurice brought his phone to me, and asked Kevin how come it cost so much money just for a new tire and battery he said that it's because my battery was behind my tire. I said to Kevin yall knew that the whole time and I told him the mechanic on Wednesday told me if I purchased a battery from AAA there is no installation fee, Kevin said that because the battery is behind the tire it's $80 dollars, I became upset and I told Kevin I am going to call AAA back to see if they would approve this type of charge. Kevin got smart and said that he didn't care who I called that those was the prices. I called AAA and a representative herd me out and he took my name number and opened up a case because he said they should have told me that from the beginning & he also agreed that was too much money for a tire, battery and labor after Preston had taken all my fasteners and screws. My case report number with them is 4913, as soon as I mentioned that I was getting in touch with BBB, that's when he took my case in because they hire a bunch of crooks and didn't think I would catch on to them, Kevin viewed Maurice and I as old and a woman and we wouldn't catch on to them prices. I paid for it because I needed to get back and forth to work.

Desired outcome: I would like some of my money back & their employees need to be thoroughly examined. They been doing this to people for money.
