I have a Home-lite 2-cycle blower that is less than one year old. It has a two year warranty. It stopped working 4 weeks ago. Home-lite service center said I would need to carry it to a repair shop to verify what was wrong with it. I took the blower to A-1 Small Engine. They assured me that they were a authorized repair shop. I asked that they notify me that it would be covered under warranty and cost before repairing. They did neither and repaired it. Charged me $64 for repair of a $70 blower. Could not tell me what was wrong with blower. I brought it home. The blower had gas in it that A-1 had used. I started the blower to clear my yard and it cut out after less than 5 minutes. The blower would not start back up. I carried back to A-1 and told them what happened. Assured me they would repair at no additional charge. The next day told me it had bad gas. I tried to explain it was their gas but they denied. Still offered to repair at no additional charges. The next day told me it needed a new carburetor and it was on order. I have been waiting since for the carburetor to come in. Home-lite says they are not dealer.
Desired outcome: They have refused a refund. They lied about being an authorized repair shop. While there I have heard them outright lie to other customers.
