I had a toliet issue and ARGO came out and not only solved the problem but took the time to explain some maintenance things I was not doing that would save me problems down the road. He was so caring, professional and knowledgeable and made sure I understood what he was telling me. I have never had a serviceman take the time to do the work and make sure I knew what he was doing. I highly recommend this company.

I had an appointment with a home warranty company today from 11-3, but 5 Star Home Services didn't show up. When I called to ask where the technician was, the woman got an attitude and said we never had an appointment. They said they called and left a message, but my call logs and empty voicemail show that's not true. Don't use this company. I told the warranty company not to contract with them.

i used 5 star home services at my rental house for a pluming issue relating to the sewer pipes. the pipes were allegedly needing a very expensive repair according to another plumber.

as a second opinion, i had 5 star home services come out with their sewer pipe camera. the video of the camera running from the city sewer pipe at the street all the way through my pipes and out to the cleanout proved that the pipes were not needing to be replaced or repaired.

the 5 star home services plumber was very honest and trustworthy. some plumbers will trump up repairs that you do not need.

i recommend 5 star home services.

My water heater broke on February 11th. This company was sent to me by my warranty company American Home Shield and they came to my house on Saturday February 12th. The technician said my water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. He then told me that I would have to wait a week to over a month to get approved for a replacement by AHS. He then told me that the water heater that AHS uses to replace mine is a piece of junk. He then told me that his boss authorized him, at an expedited fee of $350 to use their unit which is a Rheem. He then told me that I have the worst policy with AHS and that they hardly pay anything. That the hoses, the pan, the earthquake straps, pulling the permit, and most of the labor are not covered by my policy. He then told me that my out of pocket is going to be $1400. He said that if I did not have AHS that I would be paying $2200 and he showed me other customers' contracts that had that price, as well as other AHS customers who have been waiting since January 8th to get their water heater installed. I paid the $1400 and called AHS on Monday to ask why they do not cover all the expenses. The rep at AHS called this contractor who told them I struck a side deal with him. This is a lie. I paid what I did based on what I was being told. It is not a nice feeling to be taken advantage of and scammed out of coverage from AHS. If you have AHS and get assigned to this contractor, get someone else, or call AHS if they are telling you nothing is covered and you have a bad policy. I am currently communicating with AHS for a resolution. This is just bad business and NOT 5 STAR. Take your business elsewhere.

I'm in a dispute with 5 Star Home Services, Inc. because they overcharged me. My bathtub faucet was leaking and a plumber came out and said I needed a new cartridge. He said it would be $250 or I could order the part myself. I didn't know anything about plumbing, so I paid the $250. Later, I found out the part only cost $50 at Lowe's. When we called to dispute it, the person who answered the phone was rude and said it was my fault for not knowing better. They admitted to overcharging me but refused to fix it. They should have given me options instead of lying and taking advantage of me. The person at the front desk was also rude. I wouldn't recommend using them unless you want to be robbed.

No stars. They did the same thing to me and another customer. Last June/July, my home warranty sent them to fix my PVC for my restroom. The tech they sent said one thing but wrote something different on the paperwork. He asked for cash upfront and wanted to make a hole in my restroom wall. He almost fell off a stool in my attic and I had to give him a ladder. He was wearing pants five sizes too big and had no shoelaces on his tennis shoes. I called the company to complain, but the secretary defended the tech. I will find out who the owner is. This tech is ruining their reputation. He says one thing and asks for cash upfront. I have a house warranty, but he wrote the opposite on the paperwork. I won't work with companies that scam customers. I got a second opinion and the company fixed it without making holes in my walls. The tech found the valve and replaced it. Beware of what they say and compare it to the paperwork. They deserve negative stars. I won't do business with them again. My home warranty tried to send them this month, but I refused. They reassigned it to a reliable and honest company!

I paid 5 star to fix my leak, they charge me $750.00, but the leak was still there. When I called them to say that the leak was still present, they said it was another problem and I had to pay again. I tried to call the manager, but no one called me back to fix the problem. I had to call another plumbing company to fix it.

I had 5 Star Home Services Inc. come over to my crib for an AC system check up on June 19. During the check up, the dude who was checking my AC broke the disconnect box on the Air conditioner connect box. This caused my second floor unit air conditioner to stop working, but he didn't even tell me that he broke it. Both units were working fine before he came over. On the invoice, he said that the disconnect box on my second floor unit needed to be replaced, but he actually broke it and didn't even mention it. He didn't even finish the check up even though I paid $130. When I realized that my air conditioner wasn't working on my second floor unit, I called 5 Star Home service, but they didn't even answer. I also called my insurance *** who had recommended 5 Star Home Shield, but they haven't fixed the issue yet. It's hot as hell and I have disabled relatives who need air.

So, I had a big problem with my hot water heater and called up *** (my home warranty) to sort it out. They only covered some of the cost, so another company had to come and take care of the mold. They ended up tearing into my bathroom walls, which was a real pain. I was told that the insurance claim was approved before they started, but then they just left without finishing the job. They said it was this 3rd construction company's problem, but I had never even heard of them before. I tried to get something scheduled for days, but then I got an email on 7/27/22 saying they wouldn't be finishing the work. I still have a huge hole in my closet and bathroom, and nothing is put back together. I paid these guys $999 to finish the job, but they didn't. It's not cool to take my money and not finish the job. I want everyone to know about this scam with these 3 companies.
