I bought two jade bracelets which was turned out to be fake after I took them for testing. The seller Kathleen refused to give me a refund and stopped replying to my emails. Utterly dishonest. She claims all the "compassionate" customer principle of dealing in honesty, and not dealing in fake jade, but this is not an honest seller. Do not buy from her.

I purchased 2 bangle bracelets from Kathleen back in 2012. I had lots of questions for her and she became very defensive because I was asking too many questions and she was spending too much time with me. I spent a total of $1500 plus tax and like another reviewer, she only takes back merchandise with a GIA certification and then there is the restocking fee. Now almost 3 years later, one of the bracelets seems to be wearing in one spot. The texture also feels different. I have a strong suspicion that this is the polymer that is now being exposed. I will try to reach her about this to see if she is willing to work with me and replace it. We will see what happens. I will come back and post a follow up.

They sold me a fake jade bracelet and when I wanted a refund they told me they would only accept it if I had proof from a GIA gemologist. Afterwards they relented but charged me a fifty percent restocking fee! Totally absurd!

I also purchased bangles from Kathleen - one out right broke in several pieces with out any hard strikes. I was told to use super glue to repair it and wax - the second bangle purchased had a crack on delivery- with also no offer of replacement - i would not recommend purchase from ying Yu Jade - i agree its a fraudulent suppler

I purchased a jade bangle from Kathleen last year that turned out to be color treated and polymer impregnanted! I had to pay $$$ to send the bangle to Southern California to the GIA Headquarters and had it certified. It cost over $140USD to have it tested.

Kathleen insisted I send her the original GIA certificate, no payment back for the GIA testing, no refund on shipping costs and no refund on the $100 she charged for me to exchange the bangle from different size from the original purchase. She is a terrible person. Her blog is full of zen and her love for jade, and her "calmness" from the chime of her jade. She is full of hate when told her jadeite is not grade A, as described. She is not very nice, and her true self was shown when shown the truth about the quality of her jade. I wished more people who were duped expressed their experience online. I wish all her customers had their jade tested and not to take her word for it.

One thing Kathleen insist was correct, get the GIA to certify the jade. But this clearly exposes her fake jade...

If you choose to buy, do so if you do not mind color-treated and polymer impregnanted jade. She is a fradulent seller.

YYJ is sorry to know you are a disappointed customer. We do our best to make you happy with your jade purchase. We have sold genuine jade and jadeite for 12 years, and offer the guarantee of a refund if your jade is not genuine, with a GIA gemologist report. We have never received a gemologist report stating that YYJ was fake because it is tested prior to selling to determine it is genuine. There is also a return and exchange policy if you do not have the gemology report. If this anonymous poster had taken responsible action for either refund, exchange or proof that their purchase was not genuine jade, they would have received their satisfaction.

The only way to know if jade is genuine or fake is through testing by a certified gemologist. There is a refund and exchange policy with 15% restocking fee, which is reasonable for one of a kind, hand crafted items. If you returned after the specified return dates, YYJ was very generous to offer you a refund.
