Terrible Experience with YesVideo and Walmart: Lost 18 Years of Memories
I done did a order with YesVideo to turn my old VHS tapes into digital ones. They told me to take my 20 tapes to Walmart and drop them off at the photo center. But then YesVideo said they never got the tapes! I was like, what the heck? So I emailed them and they just blamed Walmart and didn't do nothing to help me. They said to talk to the manager at Walmart and get a tracking number for the shipment. But I done talked to Walmart three times and nobody ever called me back. Now I done lost 18 years of my life that was on them tapes. YesVideo and Walmart should be ashamed of themselves. They messed up big time and didn't even try to fix it.
Mixed Feelings: My Experience with Yes Video
So, I gotta say, my experience with Yes Video was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. At first, I was pretty ticked off when my VHS tapes went missing. I mean, who wouldn't be, right? I shipped those babies off, expecting them to be converted to digital and sent back to me in a timely manner. But nope, they vanished into thin air.
I'll admit, I wasn't exactly polite in my initial review of Yes Video. I may have used some choice words to describe my frustration. But hey, I was angry and I wanted someone to blame. And at the time, it seemed like Yes Video was the most likely culprit.
But then, months later, I got a call from a random dentist's office. And wouldn't you know it, they had my tapes! Apparently, UPS had dropped off a package at the wrong location and my tapes had been sitting there for months. Talk about a wild ride.
So, while I'm still a bit miffed about the whole situation, I have to give credit where credit is due. Yes Video didn't lose my tapes after all. And while I wish they had been a bit more helpful in the search for my missing videos, I can't really fault them for something that wasn't their fault.
All in all, I'd say that Yes Video is a decent option for converting old media to digital. Just be prepared for the occasional mishap, and don't be too quick to jump to conclusions if something goes wrong. After all, sometimes mistakes happen and it's nobody's fault but the universe's.
