They tried to get me to finance my ownership when I was paying cash for my ownership. The salesman had the paperwork ready and signed for us to pay 72 years not months worth of payments. Luckily I paid cash for our ownership because we didn’t even know what was about to happen. They also never asked me if they could help us in anyway not apologize for anything. Paid 30k for something I haven’t even got to see or stay because of the cost and availability but I paid cash so cost and availability shouldn’t matter at all.

Desired outcome: 75,000.00 And to be able to stay at the resort we purchased.

Wyndham Vacation Ownership - Vacation cancelled
I am beyond words disappointed and so incredibly frustrated with the way Wyndham handled rearranging vacations to accommodate less guests during this pandemic but two weeks before we were supposed to leave, we received an email that our vacation was cancelled.
Every time we sit through one of those owners meetings its always just about buying more points to get to the next level because there are so many benefits. My family has been with Wyndham for 34 years and have almost a million point (Gold status but should be platinum but they keep changing it) and none of that was considered when they cancelled vacation and they went with how long the vacation was scheduled and just proves that getting to the next level gives you nothing. We had another vacation scheduled for a year but my daughters wedding had to be postposed from April 18th to June 21st and my husband booked this vacation. Now, we won't even get to have a vacation with our kids this year because two of them have zero other options to reschedule.
I cannot even begin to tell you how frustrated I am with Wyndham right now and part of that frustration is when you call the Owner Care line, they could care less about your situation. I filed a complaint with them and when I called yesterday, I was told it was closed. I was furious then because I got not one word from them. "We", the owners have absolutely no way of truly being heard.
I will be looking at anyway possible to discourage everyone from never buying into this company and will be looking to see if there's anyway I can get out of it.
Oh, but they still want their maintenance fees but they have every right to cancel your vacation (we'd had three cancelled now).
Wyndham Vacation Ownership - timeshare
I want everyone to think really good before they get suckered into being an owner with Wyndham.
I Purchased in 2012. I tried to go on vacation to Bonnet Creek, Palm Aire, Sea Gardens, and Cypress Palms.
To put this into prospective I have only been successful at gaining access to my rights as an owner only half the times I tried. So I have only made it to 4 vacations since 2012.
Needless to say, I am not getting what I paid for and this is a huge problem with the points system.
I let Wyndham know at one of the owner's meetings and followed the request to update for better reservation power and pay more money. Still had issues. Wyndham ignored my first letter to them and responded to our complaint to consumer affairs but said they could not prove we were lied to.
The proof is that we can not use it.
They told us we can make money on renting it too, no proof, so they are calling ME, AN OWNER, A LIAR, but they can see that we can not use our timeshare and just ignored that. So either way, I do not want to be a part of a company that can call me a liar in the meantime and continues to treat me in this manner and not allow me to use it but expects me to keep paying them
Wyndham controls the timeshare owners. They have rules and egulations that make things very difficult for timeshare owners. Most timeshare owners realize that it is not worth the maintenance fees that they have to pay.
