I called [protected] on March 16 requesting a recommendation for a technician to service a gas dryer. The person assigned my repair (Martin - [protected]) dismantled the dryer and determined the cause of the issue (grinding sound during dryer operation) required the replacement of two rollers that were not within his on-hand parts stock. He left my home but assured me he would check his shop's inventory and likely return Thursday, March 17 to complete the repair.
I called him on 3/17 for an update and was informed the parts required were not available at his shop but would be ordered. He confirmed that he would communicate updates and likely return over the weekend (3/19 - 3/20).
Inquiring as to the status of the availability of the dryer parts, I communicated via text on 3/18 and 3/19 without response. As of today, 3/22, Martin has not followed up with me as to the status of this situation.
I have since had another technician at my home to review the situation who discovered that while completely and unnecessarily dismantling my dryer, the moisture sensor was broken in the process.
The photos uploaded with this complaint show the level in which this technician dismantled my now unusable dryer.
Desired outcome: If this online service claims to connect the community with qualified technicians, it should have the responsibility to confirm that this statement is accurate.
