I purchased a leather couch, daybed and chair from Macy, s in 2007. Macy's encouraged us to take out a fairly expensive Worry no more protection plan ($750.).[protected] I filed a claim because my son, his girlfriend, her dog and another friend came to our house for spring break.I told them the couch and dat bed had been scratched badly.I was told that my policy didn't cover dog scratches.I called my husband to tell him and he reminded me that we don't know for sure what caused the tears because we really didn't see it. I called the co. And told them the situation, well we can't cover that because the operator recorded the claim as dog damaged.I explained the situation but got know where.Iasked to speak to Corp. Head quarters. After being on hold for 10 mins. I was disconnected.Macy, s should be ashamed of themselves. They push you to buy the policy knowing full well that the company does not want to cover any claim Macys has had numerous complaints about this co. And still they push consumers to buy the plan I smell a SCAM. I hope others will read this before buying anything at a MACYS store. SHAME ON THEM!

I am currently going through the same issue. i am wondering whether there will be a class suit action for this. i will definitely join the effort to sue them. I submitted claim for a cut caused by my dog, then they pointed to other part of the soft (already 4 years old) oh there are signs of repetitive use of furniture, thus, the cut could be caused by repetitive use..so no warranty...

If a class action suit will resolve my issues with this company then I will gladly participate.

I went through the same experience. I purchased insurance 500 dollars and my claims were denied. Was told my issues looked old and not new. This company has no intentions of honoring the plan.

Same problems. My claim just got denied. I got a tear on the seam and they won't cover it. I had some discoloration in the past and they dyed the leather but it is not an exact match. I am so upset. I asked to speak to manager but all were busy and promised to return my call. We ll see.

I have had the same kind of treatment from Uniters and they have not heard the last from me! I will be filing a claim with the State of California Insurance Comm. My claim was for dog urine on my leather sofa...their "maintenance" company (SAW) came out and simply sprayed some enzymes on the leather couch seats. Took SAW all of 5 minutes to RUIN my couch. Whatever they sprayed on took the finish off the couch. I also called Macy's and I think they are either in denial or they really believe this!

Maybe you need to be a better consumer and do your part to read and agree to all the terms of the warranty before you post a negative comment! Obviously dog scratches shouldnt be covered by many warranties!
