William Cooper / Panorama Shipping / Robin Stuart review: Fraudulent purchase attempt 1

10/19/2023: I received a notification through the Colorado Proud portal of someone wanting to make a purchase in Malta with the email address: [protected]@gmail.com. I am writing everything and including the typos and misspellings.

"Good day sales. My name is William Cooper I want to purchase some of your products, Kindly get back with your modes of payment and shipping information to Malta."

"I organized a seminar down here and your products will be a perfect gift for our participants

I will like to purchase from you directly because this will be a continuous purchase for the next 6 month. I will make payment via my credit card

Below is my ORDER:

I need 50 of

16-packs in display boxes available for $96.. Delivery Address

45, Republic Street, Victoria, Gozo VCT 1016, Malta

So I want you to provide me the total quote to the Order. And for the shipping I will prefer you to contact an agent who handles my shipment, you can get them via email : [protected]@gmail.com"

He informed me there was a private shipping company who will provide a quote to ship from Colorado to Malta. He wanted to pay for everything, product, tax, shipping, and fees at once, then I pay the shipping company to come pick it up.

He sent me an email to a person named Robin Stuart, whose email was [protected]@gmail.com:

"Dear Customer,

William said he could not get his credit card setup on PayPal or purchase through Shopify and needed another credit card processor, like Authorize.net

That took a few days and the first credit card he gave to process was denied by the credit card he provided. When I let him know this, he ghosted me for 4 days, then came back with another credit card. This one went through.

Authorize.net would not release the funds into my business account and said this looks like a scam and if they would have released the money and I paid the shipping company, they would disappear, cancel the credit card charge (say it was fraudulent) and I would be on the hook to repay the total amount and possibly product if they showed up to pick up the order.

I sent the following email:

"William,

I just spoke with Authorize.net. They have requested documentation:

1. A link to the conference/event where my product is to be delivered to customers.

2. Two or three references of prior suppliers of product to previous events.

3. Links to your on-line presence."

He has not provided me with any details and has since ghosted me.
