This is a cease-and-desist letter to your organization and to Ms. Sara M. Costanzo personally.

Per our conversation today – Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co, their associates and any subsidiary companies are officially being instructed to ONLY correspond with (xxxx, xxxx and xxxx, xxxx), or any family member in writing regarding ( xxxxx. xxxxxx) affairs, Effective immediately 10/3/2022.

Sarah’s telephone etiquette was deceptive, rude, condescending, and argumentative. The purpose of calling a 3rd party is to obtain location information. Since your collection agency already knew where (xxxxx. xxxxxx) was located - there was no need to contact a 3rd party " the family". Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co represents a collection firm. As a result, agents may not collect or discuss a debt with 3rd parties, this includes asking questions regarding personal assets, trusts, etc. This is a clear violation of the FDCPA regarding 3rd party contact policy

The organization was also deceptive when Sarah said, they were filing for guardianship and unless I gave her financial information – (xxxxx. xxxxxx ) would become a ward of the state and no one from our family would be appointed as her guardian. As a lawyer you cannot knowingly spread falsehood and as a business practice it’s highly unethical to threaten or use misleading absolutes.

In addition, Sarah refused to send any written correspondence to help verify her organization’s legitimacy. I attempted to provide Sarah with my email address and asked to speak to her manager several times, she refused to provide me with her managers information. I had to do my own research to find the organization.

This letter will be sent as a legal complaint regarding your verbally abusive and deceptive tactics to the bar association in OSBA, Ohio-Gov, BBB, FDCPA, state authorities and others.
