On June 16, 2008, I bought the webroot spyware with antivirus to protect my home computer for $39.99. When activating the computer program from the supplied CD I was guided to a website that for unknown reasons wanted my credited card information - that I provided, for registration of the webroot programs.
I clicked on all 3 buttons of the page that came on my screen but none responded, the were the spy sweeper program that I had already paid for and 2 additional computer programs that I don't even know what they are for and have never used. It is my clain, now before the Ontario Court, that that www.billinternet took the money because the credit card could not be blocked, as webroot has assured me that they don't have the money. Also curiously, the damaging page on the computerscreen could not be found anywhere on the web as if it is some kind of computerscam from www.billinernet.com.
The court action demands the refund plus court costs plus $500.00 for a totaL OF $627.45
Respectfully submitted,

Webroot - automatic renew without my knowledge
I bought Webroot AntiVirus and AntiSpyware one year ago (8/19/09) should be good for 3 computers, then my old computer broken.
This year, when I purchased a new computer, I tried to install Webroot AntiVirus to my new computer (2nd computer) on July. I was denied. So that I did not want Webroot Anti-Virus any more. I got another AntiVirus for my new computer.
Lately I found a charge from Webroot Software for $49.95 (AntiVirus). It was Automatic Renew. But, I did not want it.
When I called, their recording phone said I should go online to get my refund. When I went to Webroot refund website, it said my invoice was over 30 days old. I was too late to ask for a refund. But, I did not know until now. They can check that I have never used the Key Code to install it on my any omputer yet. They knew I have never use it, why did not they give me a refund?! I was late because I have been moving from Sacramento to Sunnyvale, after my husband passed away (he trimed a tree and fell from a ladder, got brain injury, then brain death 4 weeks later). Please help me, Thank you.
My Webroot Software Invoice # RA00019139046, Amount $49.95.
Charged on my American Express on 8/13/09. (Due date: 10/06/09)

Webroot - unauthorized auto renewal
I received an email on 11/4 stating that my credit card wopuld be charged for $39.95 for auto renewal of Webroot's virus protection for my computer. I tried to contact them by phone and email with no response. There was never even a way to talk to anybody, only automated menus. I have submitted a dispute through my credit card company and alerted them to what I have read regarding others this has happened to. Please do the same if this happens to you; so we can put a stop to fraudulant practices like this.

Same here. They are very difficult to contact. I regard this as fraud and theft, especially when you are not given the means to contact a company rep. I too emailed and used their "opt out" feature, to no avail.
