Vons review: Prescription called in by my physician

Pharmacist Jay Mehta played mind games with me when I was trying to get an antibiotic prescription filled following an animal bite this morning. My physician called in the prescription right after the event. I called and left a message at [protected] asking for a call back to make sure that they got the call from my doc. I got no call. I came to the pharmacy and waited only to be told that he didn’t get my doctors message but that he got mine. I had my doc call back and Metha wouldn’t take the prescription over the phone because my doc couldn’t provide his DEA number because he wasn’t at home even though he is on file at this Vons. Then I had another doc call who was placed on hold while Mehta filled other prescriptions. That doc finally hung up as he had to board a flight. Then I had a third doc call in. He didn’t pick up the phone. She left a message which he said he didn’t get. I called her back and asked her to call again. I then let Metha know that she was calling and he finally answered her call. After over an hour and a lot of frustration from your pharmacist I was able to get the prescription filled. Tomorrow I will be investigating how to report him to either CDPH or the board of pharmacy in California. This guy should not be working alone on a Sunday by himself. In this case your customer service was awful. Dr Metha was rude to the docs that were calling in on my behalf and very passive aggressive with me.
