I ordered two true copies of my birth certificate as is recorded in the New York city Department of Health. Vitalchek sent me two certifications of birth. These are two entirely different documents. This is not how it is presented on the web site to make the order. I have a damaged true photo copy of my birth certificate from 1970. After calling vitalchek [Pinky] was very nice but not helpful enough. Her instructions were for me to call New York city Department of health to get a copy of birth certificate. Is this what they were hired to do. or was I scammed?
I needed a copy of my birth certificate. spoke to six people. could not get through by phone for days at a time. every one lies and tells you they need more documents . a month ago i gave them my credit card. they made me send them, drivers license, regestration, current utility bill, marriage license, they want to know how many times you were married. copies of everything . i know where i was born and my perents names. i have a copy of my original birth certificate also. i am 60 some years old . they lie and i think this is illegal. they have to much information. are they selling it? are they breaking privacy laws? please some one help check on this company.
Sounds like you've been scammed. You supposed to pay THEM to do the work, it's not YOUR job. I just got scammed too. Sent everything in, and now they want alternate ID, and I have FOUR days or my order is cancelled. NON REFUNDABLE. This order was placed on July 7th. Today is the 20th. I have called a dozen times, only to be placed on hold for 25-35 minutes, then disconnected. I just moved out of state and I need the B.C. to transfer my drivers license. I faxed my cuuret license as they asked, and now they say they need TWO more forms of ID, since my license doesnt match my mailing address. Are you kidding me? I can't get a PASSPORT, DL, or any other ID without the birth cerificate. That's why I went with them to begin with. This is ridiculous. Contact the BBB, that's what I'm doing.
