My name is Georgette Roy of Fredericton, N.B. On December 30, 2019, I went on the Internet to purchase 3 tickets to a hockey game in Saint John, N.B., which is about 1 hour from my home.
I believed I was on the site from Saint John to purchase the tickets, I had no idea the price of hockey tickets. I was puchasing this for my son and his children. I was advised the tickets were $49.00 each, not knowing what the actual price was, I believed this is what the tickets cost.
Quite a shock when I received the tickets which indicated the price was
$19.00 per ticket.
Viagogo charged me a total of $189.70, plus unbeknown to me, they charged it in U.S. funds. My order #is [protected].
I contacted the company by e-mail on two occasions and received a phone call from a lady named Esther, I believe. She claimed there was nothing they could do unless I wanted to re-sell the tickets through them. I would never
offer to sell tickets at this fraudulent price.
I requested that they at least return half of the inflated price they charged,
looking at the price now that it is in US funds, it is $254.00, which is
almost $200.00 more than the actual price.
