Vantage auto ltd review: Scam

I live in Nairobi/Kenya and I would like to know if you would be able to help or advise on any legal action I could take against "vantage auto ltd", a Manchester based company.

I first got in touch with them end of May 2013 as my car was in need of a change or reconditioned fuel pump and Kenya motor companies couldn't provide this service.

At the beginning they were very professional and I felt in confidence. They told me they could recondition my own pump by using an UAE based company with which they were working and that the whole process would cost £1100 (including DHL collection and delivery), that the job would be done within 5 to 8 working days and that it would come back with a 6 months warranty.
When I decided to go for the deal, the sales and services department ask me to first do the entire transfer onto their bank account and to make sure that my pump was totally dry and packed in a wooden box so it wouldn't get damaged during transport.
I did as I was told, DHL came to pick up the parcel on June 20th and provided me with a tracking number. The pump was finally received by the Sharjah company about a week later due to customs issues on the Kenyan side and they could start working on it.
The whole process took them more than a month and finally got my pump back on August 12th.
The state of the parcel when it was delivered to me was unbelievable, the pump was in a very weak cardboard box totally soaked with diesel and I knew that the pump was damaged before I opened the parcel.
I took photos of the different broken parts and the sensors that clearly hadn't been reconditioned. I sent straight away the photos to vantage auto who came back to me telling me to ask my mechanic to fit it and see if it was working anyway.
My mechanic did and got back to me telling me that this pump was sent back in a worse state that it was before.
Since then I have tried so many times to call them but they are rarely picking up and when they do they always come up with excuses or telling me they will get back to me in an hour and they never do. i've also sent them emails asking for a full refund but they are not responding and I am now stuck with this car off the road and totally unusable since May 2013
