Bank of America - Terrible service

I went to use my b of a debit card and it said that the bank would not process it. I tried getting gas and it wouldn't let me. I also tried the atm and it still wouldn't let me. I am 5 mo pregnant and have an almost two year old son who needs diapers which i was also going to buy today and that didn't happen. This is very frustrating. I don't know what else to do. I hope this report helps...

I called the bank the next morning and they said that my account was being referred to risk closure and that there was nothing they could do. I have $150.31 in my account that they will not let me have.

I also do online banking and in the past have had several overdraft charges when my account says its positive. This is getting old and costing me money that i can afford to lose out on.

Bank of America strung me along for an hour talking to online representatives, only to claim it was now too late for business, and that I needed to try back in the morning (unless I wanted to call their phone service and "give it a few more hours"- a direct quote from a "supervisor".

Bank of America Provides the worst online service that I have ever experienced. Not only was I unable to log into my account with my passcode, but when I went to change my passcode they told me I was unable to do so. So then I was required to take time off from my busy schedule so that I could go into the bank (because of course they don't have hours for anyone working a real job) and had to complain until the bank gave me access to my own money. They then tried to charge me with an overdraft fee, after I specifically signed up for an account that did not allow itself to overdraw. So all in all, the service was terrible, the clerks barely knew what they were doing, and I had to fight them to get access to my own money. So f*** you Bank of America

Absolutely awful service. Their web site doesn't work, and I can't log in. This is coming from an ecommerce developer. Service is available for new customers, but not existing ones. After you're in, they don't give a [censor].

Bank of America does have terrible customer service. You are always getting the short end of the stick and banking with them will cost YOU money. Their processing of transactions and charges are completely profitable for them by posting larger dollar amounts first so that it is more likely the customer will be hit with overdraft fees (which are $35!). If your account is overdrawn for more than five days, you get hit with another $35 fee. Banking with Bank of America is costly and you're better off trusting your money with another institution. I agree with the post above in that you cannot trust them.

I agree. Bank of America has the worst customer service. I closed my account with them and refuse to ever do business with them again. Dealing with them was the most confusing and frustrating experience I've ever had, as everyone had a different answer and interpretation. You simply cannot trust them!

USAA is the best. Chase is very good, too. I've noticed if you google BOA there is more negative feedback about this institution. BOA=DOA.

They are trying to set a trap for you by providing not timely and well hidden information about their business. I became a victim when they bought City Banks' U--Promise Master card business and charged me for a failure to change my automatic money withdraw option. WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME OF THE CHANGE IN ACCOUNT. I immediately closed my account with bank of America, and opened with much better conditions with City cards.
