Macy's - Customer service counter

Good morning,

On August 10, 2023, around 3 pm, I visited Macy's located at the Colonie Center in Albany, NY. I was shopping for vacation dresses and purchased three items. A very friendly young women named Asanti working in the Inc. department cashed me out. I purchased a dress without tags (why does Macy's have clothing without tags and why didn't the girl put some type of tag on the dress?) and found another identical dress (with a return tag) that the cashier could use to scan the item since I wanted this dress. She proceeded to cash me out using the return tag of the other dress, transaction completed, and I was satisfied, however, I didn't realize she didn't give me a receipt or did I receive a receipt in my email. I used my Macy's card for these purchases. I went back to the Albany Macys on 8/11/2023 around 5 pm to return that very same dress because it didn't fit and I wanted to get a larger size and went to the 2nd floor customer service/pickup counter to return and immediately was met with a young, tall man and was asked why I was not smiling (I wasn't aware I looked unhappy?), is this how Macy's train their customer service employees to greet their customers? He proceeded to tell me that he could not help me because I didn't have a receipt or tags, no effort was taken to assist me, I said I will go back to the counter that I purchased the dress, and he said yes go back to that counter with a smirk? Luckly, I was able to return the item at the same counter where I purchased it the day before, because I was able to locate the dress the young girl used as a replacement tag. My only complaint is that Customer Service employees should provide assistance or show some effort to remedy a situation such as this when it was caused by one of their own. I'm sure I am not the only person that purchased an item without tags or a receipt and if I purchased an item using my Macy's card, that should show some form of proof. Just train this man on communication. I was assisted by two very friendly women, and it took one man to change the vibe, it's not fair to the other employees that show effort.
