8/22/19 approx. 9:30 am I began shopping for my family and I at WaWa; which was very crowded at the time. I placed my items on the adjacent counter to be retrieved upon being served. The attending cashier abrasively demanded that I get my items and I asked for help. He was very loudly instructing me to get the items. I realized that my debit card was still in the car out front and I asked if I could retrieve the card. Upon my return, cashier was returning my items to the shelf despite my protest and the very long lines. I stood in front of my items on the adjacent counter and the cashier proceeded to reach over me, bump me and grab the items out of the bag to reshelf them. I felt threatened and called the police; who arrived. I did not place a report because the manager then proceeded to assist me and re-shop with me for the items. I was in tears and shaking. I spent approx. $39.00 in the store and received 3 free cookies as compensation. The manager walked me to the car. I did not receive a receipt but did pay via debit card and have a record. I would like to know how this situation was handled by the Management Team. I am also contacting the Better Business Bureau about this complaint that I believe was discrimination. I may seek an attorney.
