La Quinta Inns & Suites

Hello. I booked and confirmed a stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites, in Raleigh, N.C., on Summit Park Lane, from 6/9 - 6/11/2023, for two rooms. We were coming in from Florida, to attend a wedding. We arrived around 6p.m., and observed that the pool was closed. Having access to a pool was the cherry on top of this wedding weekend! As a result, on a Friday night, in Raleigh, N.C., we were forced to find other lodgings, as the adolescents in our party were sorely disappointed about the pool, and who needs a whole weekend of disapointed youngsters. We were able to find accommodations, but at the cost of nearly $100.00 more, per room, cutting into our weekend budget, significantly. There was no mention of the pool situation on the site, and, I'd spoken with someone at the front desk, the day before, to ask if the two rooms could be located side by side, or at least, on the same floor, and no mention was made of the pool being closed. I would be quite interested in finding out how I can be reimbursed for the unexpected incurrence of costs. Please advise.
