Miracle-Ear

2/19 I saw Michelle @ Florissant MO for my annual/new aids. During the exam she said I had a "raised white growth" & I needed to see my ENT quickly. Went to ENT 2/21 & the "serious" growth is my EARDRUM! How does someone "qualified" to do assessments NOT know basic ear anatomy?! She knew I was laid off 2/1, losing 70% of my income & all benefits & her "mistake" cost me over $200 in lost wages/copay. I'm trying to adjust to a lower income, save for new aids, or at least to rebuild my current pair & buy some time until I get new insurance, and that $200 is a hard blow right now. Which could have been avoided if she had proper training & knowledge. She did call me back, but I am so furious & hurt & was crying that I don't even know if she bothered to apologize or just make an excuse. I got off the phone quickly before I lost it. If she is the new standard for M.E. maybe I need to check out Beltone. This is completely unacceptable.
