The cook lost our order then found our order. Food arrived 35 mins later. Steamed Broccoli was over cooked and turned to mush in my mouth. Never received my bowl of fruit. Loaded fries had a little cheese not melted. Bread on chicken salad was stail. The rest of the food was fine but bland. Never received dinner rolls that I asked for. Left restaurant hungry. Do better.

We traveled 1 hour from our home in Macon Mo to have a dinner of salads. My husband ordered a wild fire chicken salad (large). The lettuce was tough and the dressing was very weak in flavor. I ordered a cranberry chicken pecan salad with sweet italian dressing. I was told they no longer had the sweet italian dressing so I ordered it with Colonial Dressing as suggested on the menu. Our waitress Kacy informed me that they didn't have any colonial dressing because it had been so popular that they ran out and couldn't order any more. So I asked her again what dressings were available she told me honey mustard, italian, ranch and french. I ordered the french thinking it would be a red french. We waited and waited finally she brought out the salads the french dressing was orange (I don't like orange french dressing) I refused the salad. She grabbed the salad bowl and the dinner rolls and took off with them. (I had asked for 1 roll and 1 slice of banana bread-she brought 2 rolls.) She did not ask me if I wanted something else nor did she offer to bring a menu. I had to ask for a menu, I didn't find anything on the menu that I liked. (We always ordered salads when we ate at BE.) The iced tea was weak if it weren't for the slice of lemon and sweetener in the glass I would have thought I was drinking water. The manager NEVER came to our table to see if there was anything he could do. As a matter of fact I was ignored while my husband ate his salad and I drank my watered down tea. When I complained to the cashier (manager) I was told I could have ordered a different dressing and that he took the colonial dressing off the menu becasue it was recalled. He didn't give me a clear idea of why it was recalled. While I didn't get charged for my salad I did get charged for my beverage. I felt like I had been ignored by both the waitress and the Manager. We have been customers of BE in Columbia for over 13 years and have never been treated so disrespectfully and ignored when we had a complaint. There are other establishments in town who know how to treat their customers with caring service and in a respectful manner. We probably won't be back to the Columbia BE after this episode.
