Cub Foods reviews and complaints 1

I attempted to purchase alcholic beverages from this location and they REQUIRED that I produce identification for SCANNING. I had no problem producing Identification to prove I was 21 years of age or older even though I'm 65 years old. I refused to allow scanning of my identification and was refused sale. I asked the cashier why. She said she didn't know. I'm well aware of why. First for Cub foods marketing then later for resale of my personal ID on the open market. Requiring personal identification for legal products for business purposes and resale for gain without compensation to the rightful owner of said information is a violation of Minnesota and Federal laws. Refusal to sell for noncompliance of Cub Foods mandates for illegal purposes is also a violation of state and federal law. 99% of establishments I normally purchase said items from don't even ask for any ID. Why? Because I'm OBVIOUSLY well beyond 21 years of age. There are currently 11 states that allow this practice even though it violates Federal law. Minnesota is NOT one of them. The ONLY reason I went to this store was it was on my way. I only went there because my normal store was closed. Cub Foods is looking at a MASSIVE law suit for discrimination and violation of civil rights not to mention violations of the personal protection act.
Desired outcome: Cub Foods is not entitiled to customers personal information. The Police can not ID individuals on a whim. They must have probable cause.
