Roses Discount Store - Indifference of store manager based on customer injury.

On Saturday April 1, 2023 I shopped at Roses and in attempt to pick up a candle my hand came away with a piece of glass stuck in my finger. Fortunately my son was with me and dislodged the glass so I didn't have to let go my cane to do so. The cut was minor and only bled a little. For this reason I chose not to file an incident report but just report to the store manager so that no one else would get injured. I spoke to a cashier who called for a manager and she asked me what would I like to do. I told her a little discount on my order would be nice. Upon speaking to the manager, who was in another part of the store she told me he couldn't do that but leave my number and he would call me. He never came to the front of the store to ensure I was okay nor has he called me. Putting aside any discount he may have offered, an apology might have been nice. The incident occurred around 3 pm eastern standard time.

Desired outcome: It would be nice to still receive some sort of compensation for my troubles along with an apology.

Roses Discount Store - Covid-19 mask compliance

Dear Sir/Madam

I am a frequent customer of your store . I was there on 6/15 at approximately 12:30 p.m., There were several customers that were not wearing mask.

I notified 2 of the cashiers of my concern. Their response was, They were not paying attention. We are in a major health crisis and all workers should be vigilante.

My solution: There should be an attendant monitoring the entrance to the store during this Covid-19 crisis.

Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.

Roses Discount Store - You all cashiers are very rude

I am very upset about the service they offer in that store, the same cashier is always rude and talking smart to the customers. You all need better customer service in these stores if you all are going to have people working the registers. Cashier Mikaila was very rude.. throwing my items around and slamming them on the belt. Talking very smart to customers . I'm a paying customer spending my money I deserve respect, especially when I wasnt being the same way. She didnt say have a nice day she just tossed me my bag and pushed my receipt at me . When working with the public no matter what kind of day you are having you are always suppose to be polite to your customers.

The Roses in Durham on North Duke Street has very ghetto acting cashiers. She must be a new cashier employee. Her actions were rude and ignorant was loudly and intimidating her superisor because she had a demonic nocotine fit and demanded a supposed 15 minute cigarete break. Her ugly tail was very loud and boiterous. I was staring at her and she mumbled something to me under her nasty breath. I asked was she talking to me. She got loud and so did I. The spirit of that hateful Ms. Katherine was still be lingering around because she kept mouthing off. Somehow the co-worker in customer service was mouthing off the one with the nappy locks. The customer service rep diberately told me that I had to go the other side because she rudely decided not to check me out. The first offender mentioned that I better go around the other side. The Hispanic suervisor gave her her nicotine fit break. The two cashiers both went outside as the cashier from customer service instigated the incident again outside of the store. I later apologized to the store manager and he was very cordial as he apologized for the actions of his employee(s). He emphasized that he did not want me to stop coming to the store. That's professionalism. Roses need to stop hiring people who are nicotine addicts, loud and rude! They have too much freedom and behave like rude children. That request should be private not in front of customers! I called the regional office and of course no one was available... I will keep calling until I will speak to upper management. I will not be intimidated by any ignorant, loud and rude Roses employee as they think that they can harass any customer!
