I purchased a Frigidaire Professional Induction Cooktop from HH Gregg for $1, 200.00 plus installation and a 5 year extended warranty. When the cooktop was only 11 months old and under its 12 month warranty, all of the burners malfunctioned. A repair man came out to repair it and looked for a reason why it should not be covered under the original warranty. The repair man called his supervisor who questioned me on the pots I used. Well I spent over $400 for the proper magnetic pots to be used on this induction range. It was fixed under the warranty but I was told that they would not sell me an extended warranty on this product which I already had purchased. Now the cooktop cracked down the middle for no apparent reason as there was no accident. I was told by HH Gregg warranty specialist who filed my warranty claim was that the crack that broke my cooktop in half was "cosmetic" and not covered under the extended warranty. Frankly, I was not surprised. I recommend to all consumers that they stay away from HH Gregg for their purchases and deal with a reputable company. HH Gregg in Annapolis, Maryland was the store in which I puchased this appliance. To the savvy consumer, get your appliances from a reputable company.
