On Dec31 st I stopped by Marshall's to pick up some clothes with my kids. I went into the fitting room to try on some clothes on while my daughter stayed sitting right outside of the fitting room with her younger brother. While I was in the fitting room my son cried for a make up brush he seen. My daughter gave him the make up brush. As soon as I walked out of the fitting room I asked my daughter where did the brush come from, she answered that it was right next to them and that her little brother was crying for it. I mentioned to her that it was fine for him to hold it until we got to the register. As we started walking towards the register, I heard the employee who was working the fitting room call out for someone. I simply looked back to see if she was calling me, I noticed she was not and I kept on walking towards the register. As soon as we got to the line my daughter noticed that she left her phone behind. I mentioned to her to go get it. As I waited in line I continued to look towards the fitting room area because my daughter was taking long. Next thing I knew my daughter came back with a scared look in her face saying that the employee told her she would not get her phone back until she brought the brush back, she continued to tell me that the employee by the fitting room grabbed her by her arm and asked her for the brush and advised her that she needed to bring it back or she would not get her phone. My daughter then told me that, the same employee then told her that she had someone bring it to the front of the store. My daughter went to the front and asked for her phone where there another employee asked her for the make up brush, my daughter told that employee that her little brother had it. That employee then advised her that she needed to put it back and then gave her, her phone back. The whole time this was going on my daughter was scared. She came to me upset and wondering what she had done wrong to be intimidated in such a way. I went to the employee which name is Constance and asked her what happened and why she felt the need to grabbed my daughter by her arm so hard. She called my daughter a liar and went on to say that she never grabbed my daughter. I asked to speak with a manager which at this time was Cynthia. She approached me and I explained to her exactly what took place. She went on to say that there is 3 sides to a story and how if I left it where it was that she would give me a 10% discount. I mentioned to her that the discount was not needed. I did not go over there for a discount, I simply wanted to know why the employee felt the need to grab my daughter in such a way. The employee just got upset as if we did something wrong and called my 11 year old daughter a liar. Then while I spoke with the manager she called me a liar. I am in complete disbelief on how they would assume my daughter was stealing a make up brush! I will be taking this to court and filing a simple assault and battery for this. My daughter should of never been treated this way by anyone in this store. I should of been the person to speak with in this case. She should of never been touched let alone intimidated and scared in such a way. I am disgusted by this and this needs to be escalated to the right people.

Guys bad news. I just found out that my daughter was shoplifting from this store before. This is why they suspected her this time. She was mainly stealing candy.
Clearly this is not my wife! look at the first name and then look at the name of the person who posted it. my guess its the immature @worstfist character that has not evene fully grown and want to put input on something they will feel stupid about because we have the video and everything happened as we explained. so whats your take on that now?!
People like you are so bored to go and do things like this. Why would I even write that knowing it was about a brush! Your an idiot
That's funny because you just send me a private message threatening me. Perfect for me to show the cops.
The more you post the better for the cops to find out your location.
The things you say are unbelievable! were done here I cant entertain your immaturity another second.
The fact of the matter is, no child should be questioned about anything without their parent being present. Whether the child took it with those intentions or not, it is in no employee's place to do so. I believe they have a theft prevention team for that. Who ever thinks this is bad parenting or patents lack of teaching their children are just [censored]s in it's entirety.
just so you know in a STORE nothing belongs to anyone until it is paid for. with a cart full of clothes waiting in line to be paid for why would a brush be stolen if my kids know anything they want or need they can ask mom or dad for it. my child has never stolen anything in her life. she is not built that way and she is to fragile to do anyhting of such form. just so you know my 1 year old had the brush in his hand. for one to steal something or show sign of stealing the item has to be concealed or already out of the building without it being paid for. this was not the case here. the brush caught my sons attention so she let him hold it. NOBODY tried stealing anything. oh and thank god for pictures because those actions that the employee took will come too light very soon and then when you are wrong will you admit to it and apologize for your rude words? Me judging you, i think not. you will probably just troll to the next negative post as i already seen that is all you do.
So nice for you to hide behind a message but I would guarantee you would not say any of this to my face
