Home Depot - Outdoor pit on sale with no manual included

we purchased a NEXGRILL pit on sale for $199 and fully assembled on Thursady, April 13, 2023 at The Home Depot located in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

After getting the pit home, I realized that there was a manual for converting the pit to natural gas not for operating the pit. That manuel was saturated with water enclosed in a plastic bag.

I connected the gas source, attempted to light the burner with the electrical ignition with no success. Several attempts were made to light burner with no success.

I returned the pit and I was told that a new assembled pit would be ready the next day. I was told someone would call me when the pit was ready. We didd not hear from the store. Today, Monday, April 17, my wife called. The pit wasnready for pickup. I picked the pit and returned home and the same problem with the second pit and no manual was included. In the process I had a $25.00 gift certificate that was lost. I was told someone would help load the pit into my truck. I waited for several minutes, but no one came to help. Another customer helped me.

After inspecting the pit ignition, I realized a battery was included inside the ignition itself, wrapped in plastic. After removing the plastic covering, I was able to ignite the burner.

IIf the proper manuel were included, all of the troubles (several trips to the store, waiting in line for check out) could have been avoided.

Please have the manuels properly stored inside the product. If a manual was included, I would have realized the problem.

Another problem is not having enough clerks to accommodate checkout.

These employees are very courteous and helpful, but one register opened in the very busy part of the day in a discourteous to shoppers.
