On this past Friday, my 2004 Mercedes stalled in front of Midas on Dilingham Blvd. in Honolulu and rolled onto their drive. I asked them to look at it and we pushed it inside to a stall. They felt confident that they could fix it, and began examining it. I signed an intake document suggesting the cost would be around $180 and left. They called the next day and said they had "narrowed it down to the fuel pump" and the cost would be $450 (approx.) additional. I said if that will fix the stalling problem, go ahead. The next phone call was to say they installed the new fuel pump but that their serviceman had taken it for a test drive and it died out again. They then said they felt it was the "sensors."
The next phone call from them was on this past Monday, wherein they stated the car was giving them difficulties and it is the "module" that needs to be replaced they feel. We discussed the cost and I suggested I get AAA to tow it to my home. (in non-working condition) This I later did, yesterday. As the tow driver tried to remove the vehicle from the flatbed tow truck, it wouldn't start. We had to roll it off. I checked the battery then and it was at 11.3 volts. The tow driver said Midas personell had said it was charged.
The windows were opened and I used my home vehicle charger to begin
charging the battery. It is not fully charged. Ignition will not work at 11.3 volts. In fact it may cause the car to stall out. It is raining now and has rained so water is getting into the car. This may cause additional damages to the vehicle. Today is Weds. July 14, 2021
Desired outcome: Return of the invoice amount of $757.51
