To whom it may concern. I have been on and off a member in LA Fitness since 2014. While the equipment usually is well maintained, the pool, hot tub and its area is degrading in quality. The paint is chipping in the pool and around the pool. The doors are rusting/rotting. The water fountains are clearly damaged/rusting. Talking to members who are there 6 times a week for over 15 years confirmed, they never saw anybody properly clean the pool. The grout is dirty and most likely moldy in several areas. There are chipped tile pieces in several areas. Dry wall "recently" got damaged/corrected and ever since was not painted. The drain in the pool is dirty, rusty. There are countless damages around the pool that screams this place is rundown.
I am sure LA Fitness had a lot of expenses to deal with and wants to remain profitable. I also understand if your staff does not communicate the issues you cannot see them personally in every location. However with my experience in Corporate I assume you do have or should have a representative of corporate who will assess each location every few years to ensure quality and standards are what you want/expect it to be. Even if you cannot budget a representative to evaluate the cleanliness of the space in person, I am confident you request pictures of damaged equipment. Maybe you can add the pool to this report.
Desired outcome: The pool and its area needs to be properly cleaned, repaired and painted to ensure clean and welcoming environment.
