I arrived at Cato’s in Douglas Georgia about 9:53. The store hours said it opened at 10, so I decided to wait. 10:00 rolled and I waited a few minutesand I never saw anyone come open the door. So I thought maybe there was someone inside and they had opened the door when I wasn’t looking. I got out of my car and I heard somebody shouting “Ma’am”, I turned around to look and there was a girl in her car yelling at me. She said “You parked over the line. You don’t need two parking spaces” I looked and one of my tires was over the line. So I moved my car. (This is a huge parking lot and there were 4 cars in the parking lot including mine and hers.) Mind you her tone was very rude. So I started walking to the store. When I get to the door it’s the same lady and she opens the door. So not only was she late to work but she took the time to yell at me in the parking lot. So I went in the store and shopped, ai almost left but I really needed a few things. She was on the phone the entire time I was in there up until the time I checked out. If she can not treat a customer any better than that she needs to go home. That looks bad on Cato. I have my receipt and date. Cashier 101 on 6/26/2023. I have worked in customer service my entire life and have never talked to anyone the way she talked to me and I don’t expect to be talked to like that by a person in customer service.
Desired outcome: I would like for someone to explain to me why a customer service rep would speak to a paying customer the way she did.
